Immunity usually lasts a few months to a year so for most of us it will be just like catching a cold every winter although as we get older it will be more serious and so people won't live as long. That will be the new normal they talk about. We will all where face masks and many of us will need to limit our contact to protect vulnerable members of our family. Things like pubs, restaurants and package holidays will be a thing of the past. More online shopping. more letter writing and more greetings cards will mean RM will do very well in the future.

I agree that more people are now going out but most shops aren't open and nor will they be for a long time if ever. With social distancing many shops won't be able to make money if they can only allow a few people in at a time and so this boom in online shopping will remain the new normal.

Interested to hear that the government is employing psychologists to get info on how best to deal with the masses so decided to do a little research. Apparently if you want to get someone to do something that they think is dangerous then you give them a little emotional reward which should be repeated every 7 days. How about a round of applause for the NHS. If you want a certain negative behaviour to stick you have to do it for 66 days on average, punctuated with a little hope given every 7 days. They announced a possible vaccine yesterday, let's see what they announce next Tuesday and let's see if the lockdown lasts about 66 days. We are being brainwashed.

Any strike is dead in the water. It will take a couple of years to sort this virus out. The country will be in a real mess and the courts will not allow any strikes.

I've not seen one yet. They are to be returned to Belfast so I will keep a lookout. Regarding a vaccine, don't get your hopes up, it's extremely unlikely that they will create one that works first time if ever.

Just chatting to a guy in this SD locker. Traffic has gone through the roof. It seems people don't mind paying a few quid more.

Once the dust settles C19 will give companies carte blanche to do all kinds of injustices to their employees. Tough times ahead for some.
