Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
Finally taking it seriously at my mail centre. Thank you CWU.
All those that will die, both sides of the letterbox, just so that you can get your pizza menu.
Flooding the mail centre with agency just to sort a pile of crap. As people go sick they should let those remaining spread out.
It's the "wherever possible" bit I don't like. Who decides what is possible. It should read "all employees must work 2 metres apart." No mention of canteens even though the government has said they must close ours is still open. I raised it yesterday and was told " it's a necessary service" whatever that means?
I too would like the chance of taking unpaid leave but have been told it's not possible. Everyone will be having at least 1 or 2 weeks off sick over the coming months. So in the long run it would save the business money. Plenty of agency staff looking for work so they could substitute one of them for me at no extra cost.
Maybe they should but they're not. Very irresponsible keeping our canteen open. Flagrant disregard for the law and employees health and a neglect of management's duty of care.
Nothing has changed here. So far. I will raise it with my manager.
Thank God for the CWU at times like this. Without them the company would not follow the new safety legislation.
Parcel sorting in my office is shoulder to shoulder, four on a fitting. I don't see how that can be allowed to carry on.
OliG you need to make a citizen's arrest. Or go get a coffee and then when you catch the virus you will have good grounds for a lawsuit.
The canteen must close and any seating area associated with it must all be made out of bounds.
Then they are breaking the law.
If management don't start following government guidelines I for one will be staying at home. I won't put my families lives at risk for some silly parcels
Management need to get serious if they want to stay open. We should refuse to stand closer than 6ft from our fellow workers. Or we should be issued full face masks. The virus can enter the body through the eyes apparently.
In my office parcels are booming but letters have dropped. Many letters are business mail so it's obvious why. Around 10% of staff were off on Friday so we got more agency in. Management aren't following distancing guidelines. They did cancel work time learning then had 8 people crammed in each parcel bullrings when it got busy. With all the different agency staff every day and the close contact it won't be long until we're all sick.
I'm surprised that locksmiths aren't on the list.
Royal mail workers
Dow was under 8000 in 2009 so at 20000 it has still got a long way to fall. All the best buying opportunities are 6 months away still. Remove your finger from the buy button and find somewhere to stick it that won't end up as painful.
Have fallen off a cliff.
