The current stock price may well be 45p or thereabouts but that doesn't mean the whole company can be purchased for a multiple of this. Market makers are only obligated to quote at the NMS, anything above this is by negotiation.

Management have stated 170p undervalues the company.

Forced sellers making poor judgements on other companies have undoubtedly impacted the limited shareholder base, constraints due to a Standard listing have not helped in this regard.

THG board when issuing their IPO prospectus committed to a number of objectives for expanding and growing the business. I for one am glad to see they following through on their commitment rather than being swayed by media and other commentators who have no financial interest.

Posts which suggest breaking up the company because its all been a disaster/fire sale are not consistent with this objective and fail to understand the business or its strategy.

Ingenuity is part of the fabric of THG, it supports all the other divisions and is fundamental to the overall operation and success. By all means take on a strategic partner to expand the enterprise but it needs to remain embedded within the THG structure.

We are in the midst of unprecedented times, companies that come through this will be much stronger both in terms of market share and margins.

Financial forecasts are extremely difficult to make when there are so many variables, however I have confidence in the management to negotiate both current and future hurdles if and when they arise.

In terms of cash going forward I can but quote from 25 October 2022 update:

· Guidance for cash on hand at year-end of c. £500m remains unchanged, with an additional £170m undrawn revolving credit facility available.

Sometimes you have to see these these things through and not get rattled by the noise.

Its a while since checking, but yes small number in comparison to the regular types of listing, S4 Capital is the only other more recognisable name that springs to mind.

THG could be particularly week given its listed on an exchange where realistically no regular funds can purchase, unusual situation but as the register stands there are no UK funds/institutions to support the share (back stop).

Whilst management utterly nailed it getting the IPO when they did, remaining with a Standard listing has its drawbacks.

Ton of trades reported after hours, all the hallmarks of end of year portfolio adjustments, clear-outs.

Not usually much finesse exercised with this sort of activity, could be another tin hat day ..
