Don't forget THG has around 5% or so of trackers, these funds will buy/sell small amounts to adjust their weightings according to portfolio model.

There's a fund that's just issued form 13F in August, its not new though more of a reiteration.

The three big trends (for me) driving THG are:

Now, the 'Ted's Halloumi' burger at the chain contains Sheeran's 'Xtra Tingly Sauce' along with beef, halloumi, cheese, crispy onions, avocado ranch mayo, lettuce and pickles.

The burger, which retails for £14.50, is only available from August 1 until September 4 at its 42 UK restaurants or via takeaway orders.

I thought it an interesting example of how timing the market doesn't always work out, this is just one position and is not representative of their entire portfolio which has done fairly well overall.

One of Qubes largest holdings, is Ulta Beauty with a position size of 207,277 shares at the end of 2022, this dropped down significantly by the middle of Feb 23 to 27,796 increasing back up to 186,131 by mid May.

Looking at the graph it suggests they sold after a small increase but then bought back in again after it went a lot higher.

In June came a profit warning sending it down to close on $400 a share recovering to $443

Marshall Wace is another name that pops up from time to time, they too have a large position in Ulta (long).

After spending some time researching companies in this sector my conclusion is two fold, firstly you obviously need tried and tested product which PHC has, the other major factor is a global foot print to mitigate an unpredictable climate.

The latter point is where PHC are maturing with further registrations spread out across the globe, still think Spain might be a bit flat but with other regions doing well, similar to 2022.

Its just part of the latest crackdown from a policy decision many years ago, but agree, it should be welcomed as no one wants that sort of activity.

Anyone researching this topic can see how large players achieve their market position quickly from a standing start, its just far easier and quicker to purchase smaller companies specialising in this field, Plant Health Care is an obvious contender in this respect - 2phevs excellent article highlights this well.

I see Plant Health Care as more of an R & D platform than anything else, this would fit well within many of the companies already mentioned.

Agree CheshireLad, what continues to puzzle me is the lack of comment from analysts, market commentators on such a seismic change within the next few years.

Little (well none actually lol) recognition of THG's early investment in plastic recycling plants (x2), packaging and ingredients manufacturing not to mention the biggie automation, robotic warehousing and fulfilment, huge investment in time and money.

Two irreversible trends converging, centralised fulfilment and ESG.

At first glance just another Ingenuity store, but take a closer look as to who is behind the venture, Bart Becht a well know entrepreneur with many top names to his credit.

Its these kind of people that help shape markets for others to join, signing up to Ingenuity is a big endorsement imo.
