RE: 12 MA/12onic23 Nov 2018 12:00
This a difficult because I use it in conjunction with the 20 and the 50 mostly but also the 100 and 200. Being the shortest ma I use across my fav time intervals, 3,15min, 1hr, 4hr and the daily I mentioned before it's good in a strong trend as once you can establish the trend direction it is like an early warning system. But you could equally us the 20 and go to a shorter time frame to get an equivalent signal however that rather defeats the purpose of having the 3 mas on the screen

So, in this rapidly moving day on the Dow here you can see it isn't a perfect fit, sometime 8ma would be closer, sometimes 15ma but it's there or there about and in combination and in relationship with the 20ma and 50ma gives me some idea where things are going. Maybe if movements are really motoring the 5min interval is better fit but 15ma is always a good start for the larger swings.
I haven't really had to describe how it works before, quite hard. being a short interval it also acts as a point of reversion to mean in an annoying choppy market
It crossing the 20 and 50mas quite often signals an important move but other factors obv come into play as well. If I think of owt else I'll post it with a piccy maybe
