What GEMD need is another large find and the reddit community to know about it and then the shorters would be toast here once and for all... Maybe that's the way to get this over 100.

It does seem like the only buyers are the posters here but I truly believe this will change when the bod decide to reintroduce a dividend. I picked up another 20k this morning at just under 48 too.

We just need to break the 50 barrier and then we should be off to the races. If the sale results are good maybe the bod will feel confident enough to declare a dividend and no doubt will bring in new investors seeking growth and income.

Yes, I agree there will be an euphoric spending frenzy as people have felt imprisoned albeit in their own homes and they will want to go out and spend money. The fortunate factor here is that the company is already vastly undervalued and if it carries on finding decent stones this could easily pass 100. This is certainly a good buy at these levels imho.

The current share price will have no bearing on what a potential acquirer will be willing to pay. They will pay what its worth to them. Of course they will want to pay as little as possible but the bod will have a better idea about the inherent value better than anyone else or at least one should hope so. Many offers are often put to bod's and if they feel it undervalues the company they will not put it to the shareholders. The share price has been worked on here and someone wants to keep the price down for a reason only they know. The current price does not reflect a fair value on any metric level. Why the bod haven't agreed to buy back shares at this price is a surprise and a mistake in my opinion as at the very least it would get rid of the current price manipulation that is going on.

I could see Graff having a go as it would secure a future supply of high quality diamonds. Surely now is the time to strike when the company's value is literally peanuts. He already owns close on 15% and the company is sitting on cash so if he managed picking it up for 80p he would get a very good deal at a relatively small outlay. One thing for sure though this is being held down as it should be trading a lot higher considering the recent discoveries. If Graff doesn't bid someone else will in my opinion...

This is pure manipulation. They released the 6 months results at the end of November which were 43% down from last year. What was the market really expecting? This is a bloody sham and a disgrace being pushed down to these levels. This is being prepared for a bid.

You would have thought that they made a loss today. We still have Covid and there are many companies out there that are reporting heavy losses. The mkt cap of just over £1Bn seems ridiculously cheap for a company that has still made a profit of over £200m in the last nine months... This looks like a massive overreaction which the Hedgies are manipulating for their own benefit.

It is being manipulated at the moment that's plain to see. The last update was positive in a difficult period. I will hold as this could easily triple within the next 18 months however I wouldn't be surprised to see this on the end of a bid within that timeframe.
For genuine share holders I would take some of the commentary on bulletin boards with a pinch of salt as most posting have agendas and again that is plain to see. Best to do your own research...

Berenberg raises GEMD to a buy increasing their target to 51. A bit higher than their September Target which was in the 20s. Give it a few months and they will no doubt double their target price again... This will be taken over if the price stays at these levels.

The institutions taking up HOC at 200 would have done due diligence. This is looking cheap...

Xtw - I think that's its down to saving money and with the finds GEMD has had this year they would have put quite a few through. The best way to keep up to date is to check the GEMD website or on twitter. The market for whatever reason doesn't seem to pay much attention to it anyway.

They have also found a few more decent finds since then so if anything even this low target looks conservative.
Imagine, a predator could save a huge amount as they wouldn't need the expense of a London office, listing and all the associated costs. This would save a sizeable chunk every year. This has been unfairly punished because of Covid and the current rating won't last for long.

Maybe a combination of both would be best as it would be difficult to pick that many up below 70.

Are you having a laugh with regards to a $100m valuation? Take the cash element, latest finds and Ghagoo out of that and you're probably left with $60m. That would be peanuts for a piece of land which produces some of the finest and largest diamonds in the world. The current share price is an absolute joke and is being held down for reasons I have mentioned before. I have been saying this for months while some were saying this would be picked up cheaply from the administrators...

The bod need to start doing something for the shareholders and commence a buy back as there will be no better time. If there are another shareholders out there and think the same you should contact the company and inform them as after all you are the owners.

Keep them coming and soon we will have more cash on account than the market cap. Hilarious...

Hedge funds were seeking a rights issue especially with Lockwood's track record. Judging by the look of things this is unlikely to happen now and it is very encouraging to see that debt has reduced and the order book has increased especially taking Covid into consideration. I found these results reassuring and can see quite a bit of upside here. The shorts brought this down too far and now its time for them to buy them back and they do have a lot to buy back. Interesting times ahead...

The market cap is currently less than £60m. It looks as though this is being set up for a takeover or a MBO as who would be shorting this otherwise considering the cash balance, latest finds and impending sale of Ghagoo.
