Mon, 17th Feb 2025 10:45

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

JPMorgan Emerging Europe, Middle East & Africa Securities PLC, up 6.6% at 266.50 pence, 12-month range 65.60p-289.90p. The stock continues to surge, and is now up 32% year-to-date, but remains down over 60% since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The stock has perked up amid the hope that a peace deal can be struck. The firm invests in the Middle East, Africa and "emerging Europe", including Russia.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Oxford BioMedica PLC, down 4.5% at 372.50p, 12-month range 167.00p-455.00p. The cell and gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization falls despite predicted annual revenue growth and "further strong progress" in 2025. For 2024, revenue growth in the range of 42% and 44% to GBP126 million and GBP134 million is expected. It expects operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation profit of the second half, but a "mid to high-teens" loss for the full-year. The firm adds: "Given the strength of demand the company is seeing, the commercial momentum in the business and the successful execution of the 'One OXB' strategy, management is confident of delivering another year of strong progress on revenues and Ebitda profitability in 2025, in line with its existing guidance."

----------

Wilmington PLC, down 9.5% at 335.00p, 12-month range 326.00p-418.00p. The provider of information and training for governance and risk & compliance reports a 36% decline in pretax profit to GBP5.2 million from GBP8.1 million in the six months to December 31. Revenue, however, rises 6.1% to GBP46.6 million from GBP43.9 million. Operating expenses increase 17% to GBP43.7 million. Wilmington maintains its interim dividend at 3.00p per share.
