SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: PensionBee shares up on US expansion

Mon, 04th Mar 2024 09:21

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Digital 9 Infrastructure PLC, up 4.2% at 19.64 pence, 12-month range 14.50p-84.90p. The investor focused on "critical digital infrastructure assets" says its revolving credit facility lenders have granted their approval to proceed to completion of the Verne Global transaction. As a result, closing of the Verne transaction is now conditional on applicable merger control approval in Iceland and on foreign direct investment approval in Finland. In November, Digital 9 announced the sale of its stake in the Verne Group for up to USD575 million to funds managed by Ardian France SA, a Paris-based investment and asset management firm.

----------

PensionBee Group PLC, up 4.0% at 93.60p, 12-month range 56.74p-115.00p. The online pension provider says it has entered into an exclusive, non-binding term sheet with a large, US-based global financial institution in order to expand into the US. The company explained that the US has the "world's largest defined contribution pension market", representing approximately 80% of the global total and USD22.5 trillion in assets. "Given the context of the enormous US market opportunity, PensionBee sees the potential for its US business to grow rapidly, becoming at least the size of its UK business over the next decade," it added.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Regional REIT Ltd, down 5.3% at 19.80p, 12-month range 19.19p-61.90p. Shares in the investment trust fall after a slow start to 2024. In the year-to-date, the stock has fallen by 43%.
