ECR Minerals PLC - Australia-focused gold exploration and development company - Appoints Perry Hothi as a specialist bitcoin and digital asset adviser to the board. This follows its decision to adopt a digital asset treasury management policy earlier this month. The company tied its policy adoption to its goal of integrating physical gold production with financial technology. Notes Hothi's experience in bitcoin mining operations, hardware development and large-scale infrastructure optimisation. Hothi formerly worked as chief technology officer at cryptocurrency mining company Argo Blockchain PLC. Adds that Hothi currently works as a blockchain solutions architect for an unnamed US point-of-sale solutions provider.

"Amid ongoing interest in the digital currency sector, we have been determined from the start to create a policy that can deliver long term value to our shareholders," says Chair Nick Tulloch.

Current stock price: 0.21 pence, up 0.7% in London on Friday afternoon
