LONDON (Alliance News) - A number of parties are interested in Majestic Wine PLC's retail business, the company confirmed on Tuesday.
In late March, the company said it will be restructuring and renaming itself under its Naked Wines brand, which it bought in 2015 for GBP70 million.
The full plan is set to be unveiled in June. On Tuesday, Majestic Wine, in response to a media report, confirmed the sale of the Majestic-branded retail business is being considered with "a number" of parties expressing interest.
On Monday, Sky News said private equity firm OpCapita was one of a number of parties interested in buying Majestic Wine's store network, for at least GBP100 million.
Shares were 3.2% higher on Tuesday at a price of 274.57 pence each.
