LONDON (Alliance News) - TomCo Energy PLC on Monday said Himes Drilling Co Inc has completed preparation works for the field test at Holliday block located in the US state of Utah.
TomCo Energy holds 80% interest in Holliday block, where Himes Drilling is the appointed drilling contractor.
The exploration company said the works included road surface works, site accommodation preparation and site clearance. TomCo Energy now expects to start drilling the bore holes and installing the well heads.
The project team is expected to be on site from the next week with the RF generators expected to be delivered at the same time, following which they will be commissioned ahead of commencing the field test in early October.
The company expects testing to last four weeks.
"The team has put in a lot of work to get all the elements of the field test in place and on time, and I am looking forward to being on site with the team shortly," said Chief Executive John Potter.
"The interest the field test has generated bodes well for the next stages in taking the technology to a commercial level," Potter added.
Shares in TomCo Energy were down 4.7% on Monday at 4.86 pence each.
