Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd - Hong Kong-based property and retailing conglomerate - Group Managing Director John Witt buys 26,800 shares at average USD56.18, worth USD1.5 million on Friday last week and Monday.

JTC PLC - Jersey-based provider of fund, corporate and private client services - Chief Financial Officer Martin Fotheringham buys 87,500 shares at GBP7.22, worth GBP631,750, on Friday. Now has 287,500 shares, a 0.2% stake. Fotheringham had bought the other 200,000 shares last month.

Gresham House Strategic PLC - investor in smaller UK public companies - Anthony Dalwood, one of the company's fund managers, buys 5,119 shares at 1,585p, worth GBP81,123, on August 17. Graham Bird, a company director and member of the Investment Committee, buys 5,092 shares at 1,610p, worth GBP81,981, on Friday last week. Dalwood now has 36,302 shares, a 1.0% stake, and Bird 26,543 shares.

Smith & Nephew PLC - Watford, Hertfordshire-based medical devices - Mark Gladwell, president of Operations & GBS, sells 5,262 shares at GBP14.20, worth GBP74,707, on Friday. The sale was of his entire holding.

Taylor Maritime Investments Ltd - London-based investor in dry bulk shipping - Chief Executive Officer Edward Buttery buys 40,600 shares at USD1.23, worth USD49,938, on Friday. Now has 369,407 shares, a 0.1% stake.

Ariana Resources PLC - gold exploration and development in Europe - Issues 7.0 million shares at 1.55p to three directors for option exercises. Of these, Chair Michael Villiers receives 3.0 million shares. He sells 3.8 million shares at 4.68p on Friday and together with his wife buys 1.8 million shares at 4.81p and 4.85p, meaning his holding increases by 1.0 million shares. Villiers now holds 59.4 million shares, a 5.4% stake.
