The share price of Just Eat pushed even higher on Wednesday after the company said the previous day that profits trebled in the first half. The online takeaway marketplace said pre-tax profit was up 200% to £6m on revenues that jumped by 58% to £69.8m. The newly-listed stock has now jumped over 15% in the last two days to around 253p, and now stands just under its offer price of 260p, having been under pressure since its stock-market debut in April.Steel producer Evraz was making decent gains after raising $425m from a syndicate of European lenders. Evraz also said it has sold 34% of its South African steel and vanadium business Highveld for $27m.A host of housing-related stocks were in demand, including estate agent chain Savills and housebuilders Taylor Wimpey and Redrow.Enquest, the North Sea-focused oil producer, increased its production in the first half by 18% but shares fell after it raised its full-year capital expenditure guidance from $1bn to $1.2bn.Direct Line Insurance was lower after going ex-dividend, along with CSR, Countrywide and Greene King.
