SIMEC Atlantis Energy Ltd - London-based developer of renewable and sustainable energy projects - Submitted pre-application and full planning application to Newport City Council for Uskmouth Power Station Conversion project, followed on from its environmental permit variation application submitted to Natural Resources Wales.
SIMEC has received additional requests for information from Newport Council and NRW, and expects to receive the results of the necessary applications for the first half of 2021.
"2020 has presented significant challenges for us all but it has also presented many opportunities of which we have been able to take advantage with the support of our shareholders and stakeholders. As a result, 2021 is looking to be a very positive year of milestone achievements across all of our divisions and I am extremely proud of the Atlantis team for the dedication and hard work they have put in given the challenges the Covid 19 pandemic has presented," said CEO Tim Cornelius.
