Petards Group PLC - Surrey, England-based security and surveillance systems provider - Awarded a contract to supply Petards eyeTrain systems to Canadian jets and rail manufacturer Bombardier Transportation.
The systems will be fitted to Bombardier Electrostar electrical multiple unit trains, as part of a GBP55 million upgrade programme with train owner Porterbrook and train operator Govia Thameslink Railway.
Contract activities to start in early 2021 and deliveries to be completed early 2023.
"We are delighted that Petards' eyeTrain systems continue to be the system of choice for fitment to Bombardier's trains. This new order adds to our already significant installed base and strengthens our position as the leader of on train video and data solutions. Additionally it further bolsters the group's present order book to GBP12.3 million of which GBP6.9 million is scheduled for delivery in 2021," said Chair Raschid Abdullah.
