EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Headlam calls in headhunters as CEO steps down

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Headlam Group PLC - Birmingham-based floorcoverings distributor - Steve Wilson steps down as chief executive after 30 years with the company and 5 as CEO. Chief Financial Officer Chris Payne is named interim chief executive while an independent search for a permanent replacement is conducted. "It is impossible to convey how fundamental Steve has been to Headlam's success," Chair Philip Lawrence says. "He was integral in the formation of Headlam, overseeing the acquisition and growth strategy that has led it to being a clear market-leader." Headlam says there is no change to the expectations that it set out in its interim results last month. At the time, Headlam had said it was trading in line with market consensus for 2021 revenue of GBP684.8 million and underlying pretax profit of GBP35.0 million.

Spectris PLC - Egham, Surrey-based supplier of precision instrumentation and controls - Karim Bitar will step down from the board at the end of December, having served as a non-executive director since 2017.

Getech Group PLC - Leeds-based provider of geoscience data - Hires Max Brouwers as chief business development officer. Brouwers is a geoscientist who joins from Royal Dutch Shell PLC, where he has spent 25 years in roles including leader of Energy Transition for Global Exploration and vice president of Exploration for Europe-Russia-Caspian. Brouwers is based in the Netherlands and will head a new European subsidiary that Getech plans to establish.

Alpha FX Group PLC - London-based foreign exchange risk management and international payments - Appoints Chief Risk Officer Tim Butters to board, starting Thursday. Butters joined Alpha FX in 2019.

Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC - Nicosia-based lender - Adds Eliza Livadiotou to board as executive director. Livadiotou is executive director for Finance and her responsibilities also include Investor Relations & ESG and Regulatory Affairs.

Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd - buys and manages UK-based renewable energy and storage projects - Hires Libby Burne as independent non-executive director. Burne is an accountant who was an audit director at PwC, working in alternative asset management and insurance. She is a non-executive director of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Ltd.
