DotDigital Increases Dividend As Revenue And Profit Rise

Tue, 13th Oct 2015 09:27

LONDON (Alliance News) - DotDigital Group PLC on Tuesday reported a rise in pretax profit for its most recently ended financial year, and increased its dividend.

The company, which provides software-as-a-service for digital marketing, reported a pretax profit of GBP5.2 million for the year to end-June, up from GBP3.6 million a year before.

This was as a result of revenue rising to GBP21.4 million from GBP16.2 million. The company attributed its revenue growth to a strong performance from its core email and multi-channel automation software-as-a-service platform, as well as new client wins in the mid-market and small enterprise sectors, and amongst users of its Magento eCommerce platform.

New client wins during the year included the Ordnance Survey, Sony Music, Links of London, Ladbrokes PLC, and the Natural History Museum.

In the year, average monthly spend per client rose 41% to GBP445 from GBP315 in the previous year.

DotDigital proposed a final and total dividend of 0.36 pence, up from 0.2 pence a year before.

"The demand for email marketing and multi-channel automation continues to be strong both in the UK and internationally. The board believes that the dotmailer platform, with its 'ease of use' proposition, its specialist connectors, its specialist professional services, and now its growing list of global strategic partnerships, is well placed to continue to generate strong organic growth in revenue, not just in the UK, but increasingly overseas as well," said Chief Executive Officer Simone Barratt in a statement.

Shares in DotDigital were down 2.3% at 38.00 pence Tuesday morning.
