EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Direct Line CFO retires; Aquis moves CFO to Paris

Thu, 13th May 2021 16:51

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Direct Line Insurance Group PLC - Bromley, Kent-based motor and home insurer - Tim Harris retires as chief financial officer and board director. Harris, in post since 2019, had taken a leave of absence back in January while a family member underwent medical treatment. The treatment will take longer than expected, so Harris has decided to step down. Chief Strategy Officer Neil Manser, who had been acting as CFO, will now become CFO and an executive director.

----------

Aquis Exchange PLC - London-based operator of Aquis Stock Exchange - CFO & Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Clelland will move to Paris to take on the additional role of chief executive officer of Aquis Exchange Europe. Clelland replaces Graham Dick, who retires from that role and also as group head of Sales. Meanwhile, Aquis hires David Stevens in the newly created role of chief revenue officer. Stevens, who will be based in London, was CEO of foreign exchange broker Global Reach Group and previously worked for JPMorgan Chase & Co and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. "As Aquis continues to grow and we adapt to the post-Brexit landscape, we have decided to further strengthen both the team overall and, in particular, to increase our presence in Paris by basing the company CFO/COO in France rather than the UK," explains Aquis CEO Alasdair Haynes.

----------

CVS Group PLC - Norfolk-based veterinary services - Chair Richard Connell steps down from all board committees, after a major shareholder expressed concern about his membership of the audit committee, making the committee not fully independent. Connell had received only 75% support for reappointment at CVS's annual general meeting, and the company consulted with shareholders following this result. Additionally, the remuneration report had received 78.5% support, and CVC says it has made some changes to its long term incentive plan as a result.

----------

Shanta Gold Ltd - New Luika and Singida projects in Tanzania and West Kenya project in Kenya - Hires Michelle Jenkins as independent non-executive director, starting immediately. Jenkins is a chartered accountant and geologist in South Africa with 25 years' experience in the mining sector, Shanta notes. She is executive for Finance & Administration for South Africa with Orion Minerals Ltd and a non-executive director of Kumba Iron Ore Ltd, both of which are Johannesburg listings.

----------

Getech Group PLC - Leeds-based geoscience and geospatial products for energy market - Hire Michael Covington as non-executive director, effective immediately, while Alison Fielding will retire on June 30. Getech says Covington is an experienced renewable energy and cleantech investment director and consultant.

----------

GRC International Group PLC - Ely, England-based provider of products and services for IT governance, risk management and compliance - Executive Director Steve Watkins steps down from board but will remain in senior management team until the end of September. GRC says Watkins's responsibilities within the Professional Services division, IT Governance Europe Ltd, and IT Governance USA Inc will be taken over by his management team. Watkins has been with GRC since 2008.

----------

Impact Healthcare REIT PLC - real estate investment trust focused on healthcare properties in the UK - Hires Chris Santer as non-executive director, effective immediately. Santer is chief investment officer for FTSE 250-listed Primary Health Properties PLC.
