Chamberlin Wins EUR6.7 Million Four-Year Automotive Contract

Fri, 17th Oct 2014 06:58

LONDON (Alliance News) - Foundry and engineering group Chamberlin PLC Friday said it has won a EUR6.7 million four-year contract with an unnamed European automotive industry components supplier.

The group said its light castings foundry in Walsall will handle the contract, which covers the supply of turbo charger bearing housings for diesel engines in passenger cars.

The group said the deal is expected to produce revenue of EUR1.6 million in the first year and backs current market forecasts for Chamberlin's financial performance.

The company said it will publish half-year results for the six months to September 30 on November 25.

"I am delighted to announce this major contract win for our Walsall foundry. It demonstrates the foundry's ability to compete on a truly global footprint in its specialisation - the design of small castings with complex internal passages produced in high volumes," said Kevin Nolan, chief executive of Chamberlin.
