SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Cloudbreak survey promising; AIB income up

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Yamana Gold Inc, up 1.3% at 405.00 pence, 12-month range 2.80p-5.48p. Says revenue falls 6.6% to USD422.4 million for the three months ended September 30 from USD452.2 million a year ago. Mine operating earnings amount to USD103.4 million, down from USD154.0 million a year ago. Production totals 241,302 gold equivalent ounces during the quarter. Expects to achieve its annual production guidance of 1 million gold equivalent ounces. Says gold production of 216,673 ounces has exceeded plan, following standout performances from Canadian Malartic with 75,262 ounces and Jacobina with 50,113 ounces. Says silver production of 2.21 million ounces was in line with plan.

Cloudbreak Discovery PLC, up 5.0% at 1.47 pence, 12-month range 1.08p-13.50p. Completes high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic survey over its Northern Treasure project, in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. Says survey finds "several prominent structures". Will follow up survey with mapping and soil sampling next year.

AIB Group PLC, down 1.6% at 248.00 pence, 12-month range 143.00p-260.40p. Records "strong" profitability and loan growth in third quarter. Irish lender says total income has increased 17% in the first nine months of 2022, aided by higher interest rates, which saw net interest income grow 10%. Net interest margin for the nine-month period was 1.57%, which is improved on the 1.48% recorded in the first half of 2022. Net interest income is expected to grow by more than 15% in all of 2022, compared to a previous guidance of 10%. AIB notes EUR9.0 billion in new lending so far in 2022, with EUR3.5 billion coming in the third quarter, thanks to "positive trends" across Retail Banking and Capital Markets.
