BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)--Current oil prices are "comfortable," and there will be no change in production strategy, nor other meetings before the planned one in October, the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries said Sunday. "Current prices are comfortable," Abdalla El-Badri told reporters ahead of a meeting with European Union officials on Monday. "I don't see any change in the production, I don't see any meeting coming before the set up meeting in October," he added. El-Badri said however that there is "a lot of oil" in the market, and more discipline is needed among OPEC countries. He reiterated compliance was recently around 53%, and said he doesn't see the level falling below that. El-Badri also said that oil giant BP PLC (BP, BP.LN) is too big to be driven to bankruptcy after the accident which caused an unprecedented oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. -By Alessandro Torello, of Dow Jones Newswires; +32 2 741 14 88; alessandro.torello@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires June 27, 2010 12:59 ET (16:59 GMT)
