The FTSE Small Caps index gains 0.05 percent in morning trade,tracking similar modest gains by the FTSE 250 index, also up 0.05percent, with the FTSE 100 index flat.
Premier Foods gains 2.3 percent as the food producer confirms thatfourth-quarter 2012 trading was in line with its expectations, and says itsfull-year results are expected to be in line with current market expectations.
"With its feet firmly on the ground these days, Premier's management speaksof 2012 providing a 'solid platform' to progress in 2013, which is encouraging,"Shore Capital says in a note reiterating its "hold" rating on the stock.
Anglesey Mining sheds 8.7 percent as its 19.7 percent-ownedassociate Labrador Iron Mines Holdings (LIM) says it plans a marketed publicoffering of common shares, with the net proceeds to be used to fund its mining,processing and inventory costs.
