Avon Rubber Gets US Foreign Investment Approval For 3M Unit Buy

(Alliance News) - Avon Rubber PLC on Monday said it has received approval from the US Committee on Foreign Investment for its acquisition of 3M Co's ballistic protection business.

Avon Rubber, which is based in Melksham, Wiltshire, said the acquisition is expected to complete on January 2, 2020. The company announced the deal, worth up to USD116 million, back in August.

Shares in the respiratory and milking equipment firm were up 2.4% at 2,088.00 pence in London on Monday.
