Arkle Resources 2019 Loss Narrows, To Focus On Ireland Zinc Project

Mon, 22nd Jun 2020 12:37

(Alliance News) - Irish mineral explorer Arkle Resources PLC on Monday reported a narrowed annual loss on falling expenses.

In 2019, Arkle's pretax loss narrowed to EUR313,860 from EUR337,306 in 2018.

The company's administrative expenses slipped to EUR313,860 from EUR337,306 in 2018.

Arkle did not record any revenue in either year.

"Since its foundation Arkle has maintained a clear focus - mineral exploration in Ireland. In particular in zinc and gold. The strategy has worked. We have a good zinc deposit in Stonepark and promising gold projects in Mine River and Donegal," Chair John Teeling said.

He added: "We have identified one or two areas where we believe our skill set and experience can bring value. But the immediate future goal is to create value in our Irish zinc and gold interests."

Shares in Arkle Resources were 0.3% higher in London on Monday at 0.88 pence each.
