Ariana Resources PLC - gold exploration and production in Turkey and Cyprus - Annual gold at Kiziltepe mine, Turkey of 18,645 ounces of gold tops guidance by 3.5%, but down 34% from 28,132 in 2019. Silver sold in 2020 down by a third to 244,372 ounces from 363,646 ounces. "We were further buoyed by gold and silver prices during the year, resulting in revenue exceeding USD37 million in 2020, and capping off an exceptional period of company development for which our staff and our joint venture team must be commended," Managing Director Kerim Sener says. Notes two-rig diamond drilling programme for 4,000 metres to 5,000 kicked off at Kiziltepe last week to expand mine's resource. "The company is evaluating several copper-gold targets generated elsewhere in Eastern Europe and is looking to develop further interests in the region," Ariana adds.
