M&g Credit Inc. Share Price (MGCI)

I purchased a number of these, it was considerably cheaper to buy them in smaller batches, the quote price for 5000 was about 1.5p cheaper than the quote price for 50000. It therefore reduced the spread (and cost) considerably by buying smaller volumes over a few days, even if it did annoy me having to pay repeated dealing charges. Apologies if that’s teaching your grandmother how to suck eggs!

Been watching this one for a while, but have been put off by the spread. If I heard correctly, the portfolio is 70% investment grade. The targeted yield appears to 4% over SONIA, so I suppose it's going to track the BOE rate cuts mid/late this year and the share price will follow, maybe providing a better buying opportunity to offset any drop in dividend income. Maybe I'll dip my toe in and take a small starter position.

I've had this one on watnch for a while. It does seem to be a stable share giving an excellent return and that is the conclusion of a Kepler analysis on it https://www.trustintelligence.co.uk/investor/articles/fund-research-investor-m-g-credit-income-retail-sep-2023#summary. The problem for me is that with a market cap of £126m share trades are limited and the spread is typically 3% or more. That takes out almost half a year's return before you start. Until I see it narrow, I won't invest.

Looked today, seems a stable one to hold, will keep it on the back burner.

No great expectations, just steady.
