Quick !
Get that bow out !
If copper can sustain this rise over the next few months BR might start to look attractive.
Good post Mr Zap (imho)
And that last placing of three years ago was at a - what now appears to be - Princely 6.2p .. in fairness too...
.925p today even more shocking, in the round, so... alas
PS: How Mr Bird managed the unwind of his Bushranger story... that turned out average - so far - (imho) versus an at one point potentially excellent looking outcome ... remains my biggest issue here.. such apathic ham fistedness against a brutal market backdrop, doubly unfortunate too.. (Towards balance, I've always liked Mr Colin Bird's 'ave a go 'ero orientation)
Generally, I need Mr Bird to get even somewhat lucky with an 'ole or three one more time .. please.. and that's plenty possible still too ..
Hi 3cardbrag of course I would, but the point still remains that xtr are positioned to be able to have that project diversification which is really important. And, to simultaneously develop each of them further at a pace.
There was a debate on here not too long ago about they should concentrate on developing the Manica resource and not go chasing white elephants elsewhere. Look how that turned out for its fans.
Fact is, not all, if any projects will be successfull, we all know that or should know that! We have had to move on from the KPZ partnership and suffered serious loss of sentiment over the BR timescales. But still, after 3 years there has not been another fund raise as the company has a seemingly healthy enough balance sheet .
Not too long until audited report to see exactly where the company is financially if there is transparency.
Sp has started slipping again.
Another 20% down since March 1st.
I'm going to second - and third and fourth... - that 3cardbrag !
While I sincerely congratulate Mr Bird on his fine achievement of selling Kiwara to First Quantum - for approx $260 million - in 2009 .. it is now approx 15 years since then.. and given I was warned in 2016 ish that Mr Bird had in recent preceding years talked a far better game than he delivered - that can only be based on under achievements by him between 2010 and 2016 max - and his track record in the v approx 8 years I've been involved in this share up to now has been, in the round, - very - underwhelming.... it's actually about shareholder pain from him turning 65 thru him turning 80 ....and maybe beyond ....etc
( I bought in here 2016 ish as he'd done it with Kiwara and so I guessed had a decent chance of doing it again at some stage.. he might still .. here's hoping etc)
PS: I hope the man lives many healthy years yet.. regardless of what happens to xtr.l.. as I see this space/AIM sector as hard core punting.. where I fully understand that the vast majority of co's, one way or other, end up decimating most shareholders 'Investments' aka bets
Howzap
Wouldn't you like to see just one of the many projects across Bird companies come to fruitition before he wastes even more money on new projects which will still not have succeeded long after he is 6 foot under?
>>>Anyone of them could be another GGP...or another dud
Exactly that Andrew, but a point of note on that is if Zambia for example, is a dud, this company is better placed to move on from that.
It is what it is flipper.. and regulators will continue to do what they now do, I expect..
nobody is making me/us play this game .. all my losses / gains are on me ..
AIM has evolved into a short term traders market - including more shorting - because longtermers very - very - often lose heavily
PS: I've seen plenty less caring about their shareholders Execs than CB on AIM
Sorry PXC = AFP !
With Xtr / Pxc / ArcM its all about the drilling results in N Zambia.
If they are good then I doubt many will be remembering how much they were under water or the last placing.
Anyone of them could be another GGP...or another dud !
Warrants need to be incentivised for ‘take up’ to raise. Generally, new shares are more likely to end up with genuine investors though and less likely to be flipped for quick profit if that’s any consolation
Yep, fully see it flipper, been following Arcm for as long as been in Xtr but always held back putting money in.
Maybe now is an ideal time.
Revenue to support operating costs is key for me though.
NtM, I am not sure about that but AIM does set a very low standard. The regulators need to insist that existing investors get the same rights as the new friend and family investors. Despite owning ARCM I havent followed the ARCM bb for a while -too toxic - but the warrants are taking the p*ss.
That's probably more likely.
Fire Fox in the first
My Tip for the day 16.50 Bright Legend EW bet
HZ. The usual case of shaft the PI. Investing on AIM is largely a waste of time. ARCM has the geology in NW Zambia, they do the talk in the podcasts, no new funds required etc, then issue cheap shares and hand out warrants like confetti. Thr "derampers" get a hard time on the bulletin boards, sadly they are invariably correct.
..... and maybe having a hoot there with Nicholas Von Shirnding - ARCM Exec Chairman- at us the mugs that are dumb enough to be shareholders in their companies :-) (As unlike as it sounds by name, granted.... I wonder are those two related in some way !)
You can't be remotely sure about that Fosters...
......CB could equally be in a Corporate Box at Cheltenham smoking Cuban cigars and drinking large XO cognac !
I'm looking at a house tomorrow, I'll need to borrow more than I wanted because of CB's "tie a bow around it " bull shyt.
Get the drill out and the SP up old man.
CB is on the beach smoking Cuban cigars and drinking large XO cognac
A kick in the teeth for the Arcm investors, but can only once again offer a polite reminder that over this side of the fence, up to $15m will be guaranteed in staged payments up to Q1’27 to certainly keep the candle burning and to advance the remaining assets so should underpin a level of share value if things get worse globally before improving.
No it doesn’t guarantee there will not be a raise down the road, but if there is, it will be for a genuine growth opportunity toward a major development or exploration programme rather than out of the necessity to.
Also leaves Xtr in a position to pick and choose any new small to medium scale opportunities. How many of our peers are positioned for M&A activity to add to their portfolios?
I see the share price is inversely linked to the the price of gold. Ah that would be King Midas in reverse at work. Nice work if you can get it.
Andrew,
Do you have any tenuous links in the renewable energy industry?
When I saw that Roy Slater picture it reminded me of this...

I hope this wasnt similar to the negotiations between CB and MMP re manica income. :)
I wont say who is CB and who is MMP - but you probably can guess :)
