Earley brothers, Spurway, Ware and Biggar.
So far there have been no charges in relation to Whetstone, which may surprise some.
Haven’t been able to post here for a while - seems to have been disabled. Now working again.
Court case against who?
Just came across this today, doubtful if shareholders will get anything back, except the knowledge that crime doesn’t pay-when they lock up the crooks that deceived us!
Look on the FCA site as a court case date has been set. About time too.
Went up to 35p at one stage.
Something like that, got very illiquid in short shift though
Indeed _ can't remember the price on there but pulling out 25p from memory.
Thanks Hoffdav I kick myself I didn’t sell through Britdaq when I had opportunity
Update - I received a response from Companies House on Strike off and will update if anything further occurs. They have also failed to inform all shareholders, if indeed it is a genuine intention to not submit accounts and to be struck off.
Maybe they will get some seed funding, who knows.
spikeyj. i have not been posting for years after getting banned for years. free speach. lol. as long as you do not upset the applecart. by the way you were right. it was obvious anyway when aidan started to say god will help and he had seen miracles happen. anyway well done on taking the lot of them to task. like you i doubt any prosecutions will happen. whetstone looks a total dead duck. that company they were going to buy into i do not think happened.
good morning dagenham, just keeping an eye to see if the FCA do
manage to bring any prosecutions. (i suspect not, given combination
of FCA’s general incompetence, plus all the years that have elapsed.)
spikeyj still here. he just loved aidan and the gang. lol.
aidan believed he had seen the light. never trust a snake oil salesman and never trust a praying warrior. all hot air and lies. now we have god save the king. lol. manifesto. you still around lady. hope you are ok. anyway what a nightmare this turned out to be. i think everybody wouldagree should of sold whetstone shares despite the market it was on and more cost.
Hi,
I had about £1600 in this but this has been dead for about 8 years. Does anyone know if i can still use this to offset some CGT i have coming up? I read the limit is 4 years, but not actually sure if this is classed as a closed position from years ago or if i can use the loss against CG for this year?
Any help would be great.
? maybe fonters, hepran, neo99, williams, giantsquid, uncle or
another of the old krazy gang would like to provide an update?
(after all, they always seemed very certain
about what was happening with WRN.)
Vanished, like a fart in the wind.
Not like Rob Terry of QPP fame who ended up on other BODs etc...
No, this guy went to ground, or water (perhaps on a yacht in the Caribbean somewhere).
Let us up justice catches up with him and others. Asil Nadir springs to mind.
Just came across this board. Didn’t know if was still open.
Anyone know what happened to the MD. Doug ? Never forget his q&a session when he wrote the questions.
The liquidators report is mainly taken up with the justification for their fees .an extremely expensive post Office junior opens envelope £10 Passes letter associate partner £25 Passes letter to equity prtner £100 Letter passed back to senior associate or filing £25 Letter handed back to office junior £10
in addition claims are diluted further by subbing the heavy lfting onto Hendrson & Jones
(yes, thats right, the numbers really are that extreme! - they pretended that the
rangers claim was *more than two hundred times* what it was actually worth.)
manifesto, it looks like the liquidators are having at least
some success trying to force moscicki to give back some
of the money ‘borrowed’ from WRN. (see p10 of the filing.)
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00527186/filing-history
very unlikely to result in any return at all to the ordinary
shareholders, but it’s possible that other creditors might
get a *small* amount. the liquidators are having to put in
a lot of effort in to pursue the various WRN crew members.
worth noting, as has been pointed out on the other side, that the
liquidators for WRN have now received £47,500 approx as final
settlement of the rangers fc claims stuff. people might recall that
WRN claimed it was worth £10,000,000 in their unaudited interims.
that looks like a pretty serious exaggeration ( if one is being polite).
WRN... The share that just keeps on giving....
To everyone BUT the shareholders!!
You could not make this up.......
Just ridiculous that this company is getting away with collecting fees on
something that should have been wrapped up years ago...... Immoral ..Unethical..
You would say they are useless...But they are getting paid ..so why would they
come to a conclusion while their invoices are getting paid...... !!!..
Half of the time spent on the case by liquidators related to "CDDA and investigations" at £367 average per hour. 50 hours of the total 100 hours. CDDA = (I think) "Company directors disqualification Act"
I suspect shareholders are hoping for something more painful than disqualifications.
A former director and CFO of Redcentric have just been found guilty of 4 charges brought by the FCA for making false and misleading statements to the market. The offences date back to 2015 , hopefully WRN is next on the to do list.
It's arrived at Companies House
