STV. 500 million is considered by many scientists as a viable long term number. Sadly no one has told the continent of Africa. Population explosion due to medical advancement but no societal advancement to the same degree and speed. The UN ( ass holes) dropped the best bits in and left. Here you go, have lots of vaccines and medicines (which is brilliant and as it should be. I'm all over that). Oh no, we wont look at infrastructure, long term health care, pensions, investments, aging populations and EDUCATION and so on. So birth rates remained high but mortality rates fell and are now low. For a stable population you can just have one part of the package. Religious dogma isnt helping matters either...see the mess in the Phillipines.
Oldie Didn’t the nazis favour population control ? The bottom line is that irrelevant of your or my views we are all doomed, doomed I tell you doomed, let’s just hope that WRES comes good quickly enough for me to make life easier for my kids and for you no doubt to make life easier for yourself
Fortunately for me my life is not blighted by the doctrines of religion or politics, I have no time for any of it. The only thing I have ever voted for was to remain in the common market in 1975 and I don't see how my vote then being turned over in 2016 is any different from those asking for another referendum now. Every other vote I have used to try to keep (as I see it) the worst of the self serving parasites out of power. All I ever wanted was to get here on a permanent basis, remove myself from the rat race as far as possible and potter around until it's time for the big bonfire at the bottom of my hill. Like to see some unelected french bureaucrat telling me off for a fire in the garden when i have liberated my atoms back to the atmosphere.
Except that the European Union now is no longer just about a 'common market'. If people knew back then that it would evolve into what is is now I doubt the vote would have been the same result.
notts, and equally I could say if the truth had been told in 2016 then that result may have been very different. I'm not getting into another brexit debate because I don't care one way or the other, I just think it's a sad reflection of human nature.
I knew what I was voting for in 2016 as I do today when I vote for the Brexit Party along with many others.
End of debate. Have a good day!
MPs and media crowed approvingly about people getting milkshakes thrown at them...
Let's hope things calm down and the we'll see a better market.

Just to say though people being denied a vote because of admin cock ups is a very bad situation.
#deniedmyvote trending on Twitter. Certainly doesn't seem to be just a handful of people. Socking.
Uk people abroad didn't receive postal voting papers in time and EU citizens here who are entitled to vote are being turned away from polling stations. Many say they completed the required forms but have still be turned away.
Not sure what the EU will make of the handling of this. I guess the preparation time didn't help as we should have left on the 29th March! Even so, another shambles.
Seriously what did you expect from a Tory government - fairness for all !
