"Quick look at the charts for several years back shows sp rises into May."
The trend is your friend...
Joo 60 ....no chance
If the numbers are not fantastic the shorters will ve laughing
ha ha u ****ging it off not long ago
Passenger capacity hitting records, lower inflation , interest rate cuts in the near future, new planes
60 pounds soon looking good
Quick look at the charts for several years back shows sp rises into May.
Agree Mat,
shorters always get blamed for everything on all these boards, as others have said likely playing both sides of the fence anyways.
Regardless, its earning season now, so time to buy not sell airlines, took a position here week back, not to trade but for a lth as think the company will come through earnings season ok and make a decent profit by the end..
Yes matey as I don't like the shorts increasing
Didn't you sell your Wizz shares on 24th March though KPA1?
Good luck mate but i can't see it hitting 40 again
"I'm surprised by the rise, in conjunction with the shorts increasing."
... as someone else touched on... a common strategy amount the pros is to use shorts to hedge against their long position.. so increasing shorts could be an indication of also increasing longs... fact is we just don't know.
As far as I'm aware, there is no evidence that shorting pushes sp down... if anyone finds some then please post it.
Trying to guess the day to day fluctuations is near impossible... I'm here for at lest another year I recon,,, and I expect to be selling at around 40
Take profit dd u know it will end in tears ...look it hit 24 plus today and it is 80p down now
Marshall will kill at as per usual
You hate wizz go away
DD
Split the pot and keep a foot in both positions, maybe?
Covers both alternatives, Just a thought.
I sold yesterday at a small loss as I was sure with the shorts increasing this was going to drop back 10% as it did in March. Watched as it flew past my previous BE point today. Frustrating and something to be said for patience.
I'm surprised by the rise, in conjunction with the shorts increasing. Someone is going to get burned here, and my gut says it's us because I think FY results will come in under expectation. I'm considering cashing in now but the optimist in me wants to ride the wave!
Nice not to be sniffed at 8% rise here this last week or so, rising pleasingly with the sector and my rya. long may it continue.
Mw added MIM reduced their short they are hedge funds and most likely have bets on in the opposite direction in other airline stocks. Passenger numbers still good so is load factor. Full year figures will be interesting
GLA
Do you assert that marshal can control the SP?
Is there any evidence that shorting reduces SP any more that not buying shares does?
Marshall added again they will take it under 19
No chance
Full year results will smash it out of the park
25 top I reckon
Would be nice £30
I wonder if mw will exit their short soon
