So last year EZY posted a profit of 324M, and today their mar-cap is about £4B
this year WIZZ is expected to post a profit of 400M, and today the mar-cap is about £2B
hummmm.... I know this is simplistic but it does make you think there's scope for a significant rise here
Spring / summer , passenger numbers and profits will boom
new aircraft also being added in year - 60 pounds - multi bagger
Marshall l8ke a dog with a bone
Nice work MadMat, it is a shame that the SP is half of what it was january 2020. The market is so cautious about airlines that even that company has grown significantly over the last four years and is still growing its fleet and passenger numbers are breaking records each month, the SP is half of what it was when company was half the size.
We just going to have to wait for the Wizz to prove its worth.

I've been looking at the passenger numbers published on the Wizz website, and viewing them over a number of years. You can see the chart I made here.

The numbers are amazing...
- 2023 June, July, Aug passenger numbers 80% up on pre-pandemic numbers
- 2024 Feb Jan, same... around 80-90% up on 2020/2019, and a health 10% up on last year
I cant help feeling very positive about this years performance.
£30 ;)
MW have added to their short position. How low is this going to go?
Gatwick report a boom in passenger numbers and forecast numbers will return to pre pandamic figures by 2025 as wizz operates 9 routes out of Gatwick their numbers should be up to.
Would like to see Marshalls get burned for shorting the stock
GLA
Whats the latest news on gtf engines
passenger numbers are still looking fantastic with the issues, once all planes are back i can see this in the 60s easily, im topping up on every opportunity
Agree .....Marshall was the signal for me to exit
I reckon profits warning coming. Israel and Ukraine dragging on. Takeover rumour didn't materialise to anything. Back to 1400/1500p. Oil price keeps rising as well.
Great share when u time it right though matey 👍
Stick around for the rebound bud. Fundamentals always win through imo.
Didn't take long for Marshall to smash it down.
SP softness is likely because of the ridiculous claim that Wizz would recommence flights to Israel this month and question marks now arising over whether it will hit year end profit target. I’m not optimistic but I also think they’ll be well placed for a better 24 which should drive the SP higher
Madmat
Agreed i did exactly the same check myself
I'm chuffing lorry driver but been burnt numerous times especially when Marshall come sniffing
Just for comparison.
IAG and WIzz both have shorts at about 1.3%
both are shorted by Marshall Walis
IAG up 2%
Wizz down 2%
Conclusion = Marshall have nothing to do with it
Bye……
Although I’m sure you’ll be here with more negative commentary over the coming days / weeks (wonder who you work for?)
I'm out ...Marshall are a nightmare
When they hit their c400m profit expectation SP will rocket.
Marshall short lots of companies as air travel is recovering it could be a speculative bet or a hedge against a long bet
Definitely dumping tomorrow...Marshall will slaughter this....for sure
Shorts have increased in recent weeks, not massively but they now stand at 1.32%
This is a dog now always dropping
