You can't stay underwater in short for longer period. Keynesian economics dictate stonk always go up. It's eventuality of an anomaly neo. Elliot wave inventor died broke middle class for a reason.
Shorting doesn't make money but meme stocks are better than this. Always sell the panic and buy the euphoria
Shorts are profitable for short term but unsustainable in long term on any stock with decent company when global reserve currency printing country is going to go Weimar republic.
Bogdanof it's going to go well ..if you only could read a financial business report buhaha the short is longterm and I'll see around £3-4 sp on this at least .market cap 8 billion profit 30 million say no more you could buy Aviva or legal and general they are probably the best 2 shares in the UK market just compare with wise and you might understand intrinsic value more . I'm trying to help you not ridicule you for bad investments
It wasn't an IPO. Direct listing doesn't have a lock in period. I think early October sell-off was due to them.
Short seems to be going well lol
Can't imagine being bear in this market on a profitable company where dogcoins and meme stocks are making people millionaires.
Going to see this beat down around area £4 .
The evaluation on here by Goldman sachs is criminal you know the more they value a company the more they get commission.
Few facts: 27 companies they underwrote this year alone fell over 75-80 % in a year .
wise is merely a remittance firm to call it a fintech they should be fined over trade description act !!
This has a market cap at present 8.5 billion pounds with just over 30 million in profit .
What about their lightyear app theyve launched for trading US shares .
@jacob
How did your shorts go?
Does anyone know when is the IPO lock in period expiring? Meaning when can the early investors of the IPO start selling shares?
Has anyone checked their ASSETS launched in UK? You can hold money in ETF and also spend it quickly using their card if needed like a highly liquid stock portfolio. Could they possibly be becoming more than cross border payment transfer company?
So I did some digging and cofounder Taavet selling was written on the wall, he is moving out. Now that panic sell-off has resumed, it's a strong buy again lol

That's not the reason, facebook is not allowed by US govt to get into fintech as it will end FED monopoly on dollar. Reason is right in front of you in director trades, you don't need bloomberg to spoon feed it.
Well wish me luck !! Taken a position too short today at wise .this is only my 4 attempt at shorting last time gained 73% out of skillz.
Wise is on a downward trend on my chart plus the few institutes that have bought this are leveraging their longs out. Plus the biggest factor the fundamentals 6.8 billion market cap with just over 30million profit on a company that is over 10 years old . Intrinsic value shouldn't be more than £2 going to follow this down to at least £4 . Good luck all.
Bloomberg say Facebook and others are getting into the Fintech game and scaring Wise investors.
Almost all the trades are algo bots
Yes roulettewheel, Other founder kriisto increased his shares so seems natural that taavet (seller) is moving out. Having said that it's a strong buy at £4.
PS: Elon musk was born wealthy profiting of child labour in Africa still he pretended to be humble for SP growth.
Did I read that correctly that he sold 1% of shares to focus on other projects?
Elon Musk, for all his failings slept on factory floor to make Tesla work.
What is going to happen to Wise if he is focussing on other projects :(
Only thing matters in free market is demand vs supply. Huge sell by taavet crashed it or it would have kept defying logic like most American stocks are doing right now.
I think the market cap works out at as £2100 per customer. I think that is a bit crazy but as a wise user myself, i probably pay about £25 a month in fees as a frequent user transferring money internationally.
