Nice to see. Back in profit ( just ). Only from averaging down whilst in the 42s Stay happy.
Buy rec. Lookers or Vertu for the future?
Think they have had to keep the month open to deliver the used cars sold in February due to the weather.
End of this week. Not sure it will do much to the SP but future planning and forecasting will be interesting. Gla
I'm NOT worried about the intraday swings I meant to say. :-)
I'm worried about the intraday swings here. VTU simply too strong in the long term and going forward plenty of gains to be had from these prices. PDG also the same.
Agreed just not sure if lookers will pull vtu share price down with it. Even if only temporarily
Brilliant management and strategic plan going forward that's what I like about VTU it's properly run behind the scenes and they reinvest heavily back into their core business. Anything below 45p is a steal.
Ferrari i had lookers, pdg and cambria but sold them all just left with 100,000 vtu now. Good assets and management. Will keep topping up if it drops back to 41/42p :-))
Fancy seeing you here? VTU looks cheap, I added 45k worth this morning which showed as a sell. I don't like the management of Lookers, behind the scenes they're not the sharpest bunch of people.
Look cheap at 82p. ????
Will we see these motor trade shares trading below true nav. Its not a statement but a question. Its not looking good at the moment, would expect a profit warning from lookers before month end. Not trying to be negative just realistic.
I know one swallow doesn't make a summer but.............. Not a bad day
Emptied the piggy bank this morning. 46p average. Another long hold maybe. Need 88e to come good :-))
Guess not but picked up 60,000 at just after 8am for an average of 42.75p. Back up to 45p in no time.
pretty much as expected to be honest. Will let the dust settle and top up for sure. GLA
Usual over reaction. Plenty of positives from that trading update.
It will drop.....good time to buy when it does!
Not sure if the share price had that factored in or not. Find out in the next 2 hours.
I remember 1999 got my first dealership and rip off Britain hit the news. Great first dealership and the markets going tits up. Lasted about 9 months, just had to focus on after sales and used cars and ride the storm. By April we will come back round on the decline and it will sort its self out. Only problem is used car stock when new car sales slow down but returning contract cars should fill the hole. Plus after sales is always more profitable on older cars with better upsell. I think vtu are the best placed group to ride the current storm which the motor trade always finds itself in. Gla
I expect the numbers to be pretty much in line with previous market expectations Stalin although I was slightly concerned with the downturn in new car sales but even that was factored in on previous estimates I would bet. The business is very much geared to squeeze every penny out of the after sales market through service plans etc and that appears to be performing well.I switched some of my holding into tsco a few months back (got in at 1.71)in expectation of the Booker news and that has bolstered my finances nicely on paper so far thank goodness.Fingers crossed for The VTU year end figures to put a little icing on the cake but as previously stated not getting too excited at the mo.GL
Nice one Aldaniti i went a different route with cambria divi Monday but bailed out at a small loss. Ended up the wrong way ( just ). Topping up here again with some profit from 88. So not all bad. Hope year end numbers are okay :-))
Divi payment in bank and tick up in SP,that will do nicely! GLA
6 weeks away from year end numbers. Might get into low fifties again if they are reasonable. Don't expect any records getting broken but neither does the city. Fingers crossed gla
for the UK taking off some of the recent gains here. Will be interesting to see if any opportunities to add value to the Vertu portfolio emerge early in the year? We wait and see what 2018 brings. GLA
