Over the last year I have invested approx £2250 plus divis and have roughly the same shades, having bought at 106, 110, 102 , 99 and today £500 at 97p
Glad l didn’t buy at higher prices during the middle of this year though.

Dan, I might struggle to get a flight out of Siberia as they're all banned into Europe...I'll have to settle with eating cabbage soup and cold caviar with my new comrades....brrrrrrrr...-((Na Zdorovie and ...do svidaniya!!!
Nostrovia comrade moniman. At least you haven't lost your sense of humour? Shame about the rest though! No more cold war eh?
Well done New Sid. At least you beat Mikey! Only joking Mikey. I hope you (Mikey) will join in again for next week. Better than talking about ski slopes. Perhaps our new comrade moniman would like to join in? Talking of ski slopes, I am off to Austria in January (far better than Russia) you should try it sometime moni, it might cheer you up?

Many thanks, Roofer.
It's ironic that I wanted to be wrong this time around but had a feeling about the results & how the market seemed to crucify Vod for the slightest negativity.
I saw this as a good opportunity to top up and honestly think my investment will come good. It's a solid company.
And as Benjamin Graham said;
"short run, the market is like a voting machine--tallying up which firms are popular and unpopular. But in the long run, the market is like a weighing machine--assessing the substance of a company."

Djones. Vodafone doesn't always drop more than the divi on ex divi day. On the last 2 ex divi days it closed down roughly the same as the divi. Please check your facts before posting on here.
Selling outside your ISA - Well you can offset your losses against any winners you may have, cannot be many VOD shareholders with a CGT issue.
Hello robleo & others , I think it's worth pointing out that on the last 2 ex divi days the vod sp fell by 3.88p & 3.68p so about the same as the divi. It may be wise however to buy after ex divi, especially if you pay divi tax. Personally I need to sell some vod shares held outside my I.S.A. at some stage to avoid divi tax. Good luck rob.
Vladimir moniman is very touchy lately, isn't he? He'll get over it? Poor soul.
With the FTSE100 absolutely none - price performance of AIM.
Index less than 4% off the yearly high.
VOD less that 3% off the yearly low.
Pays (for now) a decent dividend but must be the biggest dog in the index - idiots keep guessing the weekly share price.
Gutter…….you should be on the stage, what a comedian you are…..fud!!!
Vod allways drops more than dividend on ex divi day. This has become toxic, so MM can do as they please.
This share only good for day traders.
We all know that the SP will probably drop by 3p ish when it goes ex divi but it will soon come back , and even Barclays latest cuts Vodafone price target to 110 (120) pence - 'equal weight' which is still much higher than it is now .
Goodness gutter some strong views, but I notice you have only been a member for 2 days and already made about 22 posts many of which are negative. It does sound as if you are trying to make a name for yourself as a trouble maker just trying to wind pother posters up.
Have you just changed your name after being deleted as someone else ?
Guttersnipe by name and guttersnipe by nature.
Take your pro-russian rhetoric and be gone.....
They always feel safe just before the big plunge. Although I'm no expert. Feel tempted to buy but feel scared at the same time. Vodafone has a massive debt. When they go ex dividend they will go down a bit but what happens after that?
This seems a pretty safe haven at the moment to park some money. I really cannot see any further downside and has to be one of the safest bets on the market right now as the country slips into recession.
I am waiting for the travel stocks to fall a little further before jumping back aboard there. In the meantime I will let VOD take care of my cash. Enjoy your weekend guys.
