interesting
'The move forms part of Vodafone’s Tech 2025 strategy to automate large parts of its pan-European network to be able to rapidly respond to customer demand where it is needed most. 70% of the company’s core European network is already running on Vodafone’s own on-premise cloud, and this will increase to 100% by 2025. This gives Vodafone a software-driven platform from which to launch universal products in many markets at the same time, as well as to predict and dynamically meet future demand.'
A common data ocean connecting all Vodafone markets uses advanced AI and machine learning to empower tens of thousands of its employees. They can plan and operate the networks, intelligently manage data centre cooling, and dial-down the power at mobile sites during off-peak times.

It seems strange to me that on the vodafone share chat forum, that, if you own a lot of vodafone shares & are honest enough to admit that you are losing money, but try to be positive about the future, you get criticised. Very strange world we live in?! As for me getting real mad, & bitter & twisted, well that is obviously only in your fantasy world. The truth of course is I don't like it when people on here complain all the time. I suppose for some on here,if you can't think of any intelligent, truthful way to criticise, you just make it up? Anyway, if it is O.K. with you lot, Lets hope for some positive news soon.
Buying Back shares at a low price is good for VOD .....they need to then hand those shares to the Bondholders who will give up their Bonds .... so...the value of the Bond debt they surrender will be more than the cost that VOD will have to spend on buying the necessary shares for that Debt surrounded....bonus for VOD
I am not a smoker but someone told me they pay £13 per day for a packet of cigarettes. If a consumer has to give something up, I would think they cut down their smoking rather than cut their £15 per month sim only which they will find difficult to live without. I suppose at some point the market will sell tobacco for VOD? Remember they took IMB down to £11 and its back at £20. The margin calls on VOD with interest rates rising must be biting and bond yields rising must be moving alot of money around short term too.
Maybe a long hold though. gla and merry christmas to the rampers (and the derampers cos they got tiny tim at home)
Vodafone appointed Goldman Sachs to do share buy back and they have downgraded vodafone! Goldman sachs can play their own part to let the share price fall as they wish.
Well done vodafone and Goldman!
Guttersnipe don’t you realise this is Dan’s forum . Nobody is allowed to post anything negative about Vodafone , if they do they will get the Wrath of Dan .
Happy Christmas everybody - lets hope 2023 is a better year .
Look for 79p by end of this week at this rate.
Any little rise make shorters jump in.. unfortunately very bad days ahead I reckon..

All the best
Think Dan has a fair bit of Vodafone because he gets real mad when I express bearish sentiment on this discussion thingy.
Gutter, you say no shares are grabbing your attention at the mo….how about a first tranche buy in DCC, CURY, 888?….all good divis as well. Or DARK, MOON or DOCS, IBST, amongst many others worthy of serious consideration…. The ftse 350 is full of relevant buys.
It reminded me of the only good thing about the debt is scaring the time/balance of this year end up down and shake it all about maybe and I still haven't bought any Vodafone shares

'Salvato’s claim to fame is getting a number of big figure deals across the finishing line at Liberty Global, whereas Swantee boasts of stellar sector experience having been CEO at Britian’s EE and Switzerland’s Sunrise. Daniel, it's a Warren Buffett quote. When the tide goes out you see whos not wearing a bathing suit. Something like the sub prime crisis and dodgy banks is what he means. Or any other financial disaster.
GutterSnipe. You have got a bit of a thing about me not wearing a bathing suite haven't you? Would you like me to send you some photos?
Blahs to buy Vodafone
'Salvato leads M&A and other business development activities at Liberty Global, a company involved in a massive transaction with Vodafone for various European assets which completed in 2019.
The executive is also on the board of Vodafone UK rival Virgin Media O2, an operation jointly owned by Liberty Global and Telefonica.'

& A Happy Christmas to you too Gary!
danielh the “keyboard warrior”- You should stop investing as you obviously aren’t any good at it. We all can see that you have lost a lot of money here & that’s what’s making you all bitter & twisted, hence your childish, pathetic, ignorant attitude on this open forum. Leave investing to the grown ups who know what they are doing Danny Boy. It’s quite apparent to all that your inferiority complex is entirely justified.
Sorry, typo....
