Didn’t realise it was ex div date 22/11 in the USA
Why the 5% drop in USA?
Jax. The only thing we all know is that you are an idiot,so you don't need to keep reminding us. The net sp after taking into account ex divi may go down,or may go up, If we all knew it would go down, we could all be very rich, but we don't know & nor do you so, give it a rest!
We all know by close of play tomorrow it would have been better to not have held for the divi today
Private equity takeover.
Italian sale.
3 merger
Activists
Lower energy costs
Higher margins
Lower interest rates
Multiple catalysts actually.
Once that div payment is made, there is not much holding VOD up with next one 6 months away. Remove the towers money and twelve month trailing earnings is well below div amount.
The city know the div comes from reducing assets or raising debt and will mark the stock down over following months in preparation for the next payment.
Need to buy today therefore to qualify.
Roofer, yes it is good to see dlg and other shares rising lately, if we get further inflation drops in 2024 it may be a good year, i did only say maybe who knows what can happen next in this World, and let's hope vod can follow the same trend, if it can't grow from this current price then we are in trouble

I disagree
If Spain is achieving a return on capital below the cost of capital, then its disposal creates incremental wealth for the Equity holders. As effectively at the moment its destroying shareholder wealth not being accretive to it. So yes the EBITDA and NBT drops by disposing of it, but then so does the Investment needed to generate them and in a non linear way. So then you get NewCo which get less profits but invests less, creating a higher return on capital (which in turn creates a higher FCF)
What's a samovar? A samovars a Russian urn. What's a Russian urn? As my previous post, about 1,240,000 Rubles a year, on average. According to Google. Not as much as Putin urn's!

Why don't you write to the BOD and apply for her job Mole, you could give them the benefit of your expertise and ideas?
I would offer they are her fault, as previous CFO. If you had not taken billions from your company in divs and buybacks, you would not need to be selling off core assets, reducing market share through mergers, and getting rid of jobs to save cost which may well lead to reduced revenue.
It was her financial strategy I believe. One she now sticks with as CEO. It hasn't worked. It needs to change.
Of Course its Jam tomorrow, what do you expect from a big PLC.
E& = Increasing Stake (has to go through regulatory approval)
Sale of Spain = will take time to flush out and then show the ROC improving
UK Merger = Has to go through regulatory approval
Job Cuts = the initial redundancy costs will outweigh the current savings, once that flushed through it will improve EPS
All of the above take time, and although messaged to the street we haven't seen the SP move materially, thats not her fault
