I have this on my watch list after selling a few months ago last time it hit ~80p
at 69p this is yielding over 11%
Clearly the market think this is going to be slashed to help repay debt.
Half year results have Gross Debt at e46Bn and Net Debt at e36Bn that's bonkers and wont wash with interest rates staying elevated will it?
Wow, this is truly hopeless. Thought 68.77 was a bargain. Now it has gone even lower, oh dear me!
It's only a small buy in itself; If it's part of a much larger accumulation, maybe.
You could be right about RNS and shooting up.. but definitely not to 78..
RNS due for E& increasing their stake , italy merger deal and CMA 3 merger decision. In the past all the rise over 3% were short lived.. but vodafone definitely need to catch up with their peers who are trading atleast 15-20% above !
68.55p close
That the share is about to be bought by a large company
Just wondering if there are many people like me out there who are seriously thinking of buying back in here. I sold my 16,000 odd shares here at £1.31 & £1.34 a while ago & used that money to buy LGEN & AV which I will never sell (Good to see Robleo on those boards).
Now, that I have some additional funds my buying finger is hovering over the requisite VOD buy button.
Yes, there are lots of issues with Vodagone but it is a massive company & must be ripe at these levels for a takeover rumour or two at least. As the housebuilding sage 'Strictly' often says I wish I could drink with Captain Hindsight once in a while. Good luck all who are invested here, some of you guys have been waiting far too long for a turnaround.
I suspect we may well see a RNS about a large position taken and a shoot up back to 78p in the next few days.
Somehow closed at 68.45.. lets see actual closing price in 5 minutes!
I'm starting to get a little concerned that my entire investment in vod is at risk.
But will I sell? Of course not, I'll just sit and watch it go down and down !!
Oh dear! Looks like this will touch 67p today.. Nice work.. Margharitta... LOL!
Imagine tuning in hear looking for advice and you has Captain Jaxi50 and Mr Guttersnipe esquire 😂
Fleccy
The wonders of the "free" market. Ridiculous levels for vod to be trading at. Reminds me of when BP was trading sub 200 back in 2020.
There was an Off Book trade at 15:23 for more than 54 million shares traded at 69.25p, if that had been On Exchange the price would have gone up to over 69p. Someone was willing to pay a premium of 0.75p to the On Exchange price and yet the price is going down on Exchange, one can be forgiven for thinking the price is being manipulated.
Oooooh nice !!!
I has nearly bought sum Vodafone shares back in October at about 80p but jaxi50 said no no no.
I reckon the jaxi50 entity have saved me from losing almost £100.
I see 40p
Not been this low for who knows how long
IN MARKS AND SPENCERS, MY MUM BOUGHT SOME NEW KNICKERS
How much are you down now Jax. You had bought back in at 70p
Its a fallacy to compare vod to BT. The latter has almost no hedge outside of the UK, whereas Vod has its fingers in a lot of pies internally and in different tech.
Again, not sure why people who are moaners are still in this sp or even posting here. You can't influence nothing so you are just wasting your time.
Thanks Jax.
I hope you are shorting or have sold out. If you are, please confirm as I would love to revisit this very post this time next year.
68p is not a bargain it’s very expensive
The mcap is way too high.
Compare it with BT, when BT was at 110p , this dog was at 75p.. Now BT at 132p this is now well below that price ( taking off 3.9p dividend) If brexit applies to Vodafone then it should apply to BT too..
Even at 68p, no one thinks its a bargain share! And the management shows no interest on this either!
