Not going to lie, the reaction in the SP is more than disappointing.
So VOD will load £4.3b of debt onto MergeCo and will only 51% of the £6b debt, so basically reduced debt by £1.2b. On the flip side before synergies we are losing £250m EBITDAaL for that £1.2b. But with annualised savings £700m x 51% = £357m that more than makes up for the EBITDAaL loss, whilst opportunity for further Revenue and cost synergies (eg if we both get a 1% discount on procurement, MergeCo should be able to squeeze that a bit more on more volume etc). The synergies they talk about will mostly be duplicated functions etc. Just seems a small piece of the puzzle at the moment
The whole stock market is a complete and utter joke at the moment.
best off going liquid and stocking up on water and ammo.
What a trash stock.... Meanwhile US stocks anything to do with Ai is pumping like mental and good old companies like vodafone keep dropping...
Why is BT also dropping...
Probably because they sit together in managed funds. It's not BT or Vodafone that gets bought and sold, it's telecoms. I wish they weren't so coupled up. There would be good opportunities to trade between them if they were more independent of each other
Blackrock sold approx 1% of the share's in issue, dropping from 4% to 3%
If they release news of Ai adoption then this will rocket...
'If they release news of Ai adoption then this will rocket...'
TOBI relaunch
Good news or bad this never fails to disappoint! My 4th biggest holding and doubt I'll ever get my money back.
A steaming pile of manure...
@adbon its not a “ good old company “ its a pos with a collapsing biz model, huge debts and poor management. Plus its listed in brexit basket case uk, on an exchange nobody will touch anymore. Good luck with it tho😂😂
Porches 1946 - What is your opinion on GSK shares please?
"the whole stock market is a complete and utter joke at the moment." - thats because there is a warmongering nutter on the loose with a nuclear ****nal !
I don't see this joke stock market. Maybe I am just in the right stocks. Not VOD of course.
What is it about some on here who degrade themselves by comparing vod to excrement. O.K. so you don't like vod, but try using more intelligent words to compare. Sorry for any spelling mistakes.
Dan, that may not be the best words for it, but how exactly would you describe this as a long term investment, sorry mate but sometimes you have to be realistic, to say it's been disappointing is being very kind, I'm still hoping something good can come from this and don't think it would be wise to sell at these prices , but it looks like they need a magic wand rather than a new ceo, let's hope it can start going in the right direction
Loads of names not normally here today on the rns news.
The comments have one thing in common, they are all short term, short dated and based on a short term trade. VF stated they want to be the superior 5G over the course of the next 5-10 years, so if you align your investment with that, we’re do you think the price will be?
6G will be out in that timeframe.
10 years is an awful long time in the tech world more like 10g.
A badly constructed and long winded deal which the will wake up to today. Red on the screens
New bearer every ten years. First gen in 1980, 2G around 1990, 3G around 2000, 4G around 2010, 5G standards released around 2020. 6G = 2030.
Jax are you selling up today to cut your losses?
Advocet. I think we all know by now, jax is a foul mouthed, mouning idiot so I would give up with your constant repetitive posts if I were you.
Nah I am going to keep going as he needs to be exposed.
Hello rob. I would describe vod over the last several years as a terrible investment, but that is obvious. Is it a good future investment is what counts now?. I hope so, & I will be holding my vod shares for the time being at least.
Dan, thanks for being honest that's all i ask from anyone, this one is a tricky little bugger for sure, as i mentioned before we are caught in a trap here for now and will just have to sit it out and hope something good will happen that can make a difference to the share price, so far it hasn't, I don't want to see anyone losing money here like yourself i just want to see it improve
the post below posted by MrLong caught my attention last night, if someone asked that same question 5 or 10 years ago i expect the answer might have been 2 or 3 pound, but here we are, there is no question about this industry being the thing of the future, but with such high competition and ongoing expensive infrastructure it maybe still under performing for the next 10 years
but i expect the majority of the new names coming up here are just looking for a quick in and out profit and then on to the deal, good luck to them if it pays off , we are all hoping to make some money here
anyway fingers crossed we will be in a better place here in the months ahead
