Couple of winners and each ways 👍 Back in Windsor to large it up 🎉
Got 6 11 and 17 in the first race!
Dude.... sorry to say but anyone STILL invested here only has themselves to blame.
Sell now and move on. VELA is a dog. I lost money here but moved on and made it back.
Bleurgh, there it goes, the all time low. Wonderful, thank you Vela.
@Bouncersdream: Thanks for the kind words. I do think you are correct. Maybe it is time to begin a count of holdings and see if there are a number of medium to large holders with similar views. Like others I’m sure, I cannot wait forever to take some value out of this share.

@joebloggs
TSP is at the same price it was yesterday PM. The price dropped yesterday at about noon. Your broker probably still has yesterday’s info up as it is a v low volume share. Please save your hyperbole for the pub. I was trying to have a sensible conversation on here. Your regular posting of noise, hyperbole and carping or swearing about various boards is annoying. You do the same on Ciz where people are supporting a cancer care business and are fed up of daily effluent.

I would expect that "proposal to inject additional equity capital of up to £15 million" will result in massive dilution for current PIs.
I really doubt it. Anybody looking in can see the investments JN and BF have made in the last 4 years. For us and them it really does not make preety reading. Who would trust them with any amount of money on their Vela investment performance. I strongly suspect nobody would.
“· In May 2023 Vela's Board was approached by a third party with a proposal to inject additional equity capital of up to £15 million, which were on terms acceptable to the Board, and to amend the Company's investing policy so as to concentrate on the life sciences sector. Such a transaction would have been transformative for Vela. The Board accordingly expended considerable time and effort in pursuing this proposal; incurring costs in excess of £50,000 with its professional advisers. Unfortunately, despite numerous discussions and meetings spread over many months, the third party was unable to secure the minimum funds necessary to complete the proposed investment. Discussions were terminated in early January 2024. The intention of the Board is to settle £50,000 of costs incurred in relation to the aborted transaction through the issue of new ordinary shares in the Company in due course. The Company continues to appraise investment proposals in accordance with its current investing policy.”
Wonder if something’s being worked on currently ?
What does Chris Cooke think of the whole situation ? 🤔

Main hope here is the the $28b or so in Russell 3000 tracker funds are, ahead of their crazy big reshuffle day next Friday, pressuring a very weak shares price to the absolute min for them to buy cheap in a weeks time. Beyond that slim hope it can only be sudden boredom or unhelpful rumour. A share more than halving in 4 weeks is incredible but it does seem correlated to the index news. Clutching at straws I know.

Agreed, feel best result would be selling the company (would happily trade vela shares for some IP group ones - they have enough in their treasury alone that would be a small dip for them) or failing that i'd take a MVL if we had a vote on it - sure some unlisted securities would be harder to shift but its better than what we currently seem to have. The vela ship feels a bit rudderless at the moment.
Is for the BoD to recognise that -
1) They’re out of their depths in managing Vela Technologies and its investments
2) There might be a buyer with ample cash willing to pay a good price for Vela - somebody who wouldn’t need to sell any assets under par price
3) The lack of their own investment in Vela and the above points is the reason for the market to remain subdued.

I'm so utterly, utterly bored of hearing that it's a great time to buy / bargain / so undervalued. I averaged down at .07, .06, .04, 0.02 etc etc and still it drops, and still the board don't communicate or have any money left to invest, and still the CDT price falls away... I nearly sold yesterday and again today just because it's clearly destined to drop sub-0.01 with the value of CDT dribbling away daily but I'm too stubborn, I'd lose 60% and I really don't want to do that.
One 50mil buy changes nothing (note, preceded by a good 46mil or so sold)
@Hogbog I thought buying at 0.012p was a bargain a few weeks back 🤦♂️ May need to top up on next pay day to bring average down.
Is Jimmy buying now ? Or Chris Cooke ? 😳
There will be more to follow at this bargain price.
Limit order I suspect

Could just be based on information already out there, natural the CDT delisting notice and its share price halving in a month will continue to be reflected here.
Do they know something that we don’t ????

Can Mr Miller also please buy off Vela ? 🙏
TSP Chairman Mr Miller is continuing to buy shares, another TR1 today. Maybe Vela should give him a call and do a deal.
Last post: JoeyBloggs7, 19 Jun 2024 00:53
How the hell are they still here ?
Exactly right.
And that is why the SP is where it is. The Directors are failing SH everyday they take a wage.
Despite its investment policy, it doesn't seem like VELA did any due diligence on TSP as documents at Companies House and the Admissions document beg many questions, not to forget the narratives weaved in to RNS'.
With a little effort, VELA should have learned enough to ditch this prospective TSP investment, yet it did not. Was this incompetence or worse? Certainly a failing in fiduciary duty to shareholders.
Add the muddle whether VELA were subscribing at all and Peterhouse running a mile...
Add the uncertainties over whether VELA subscribed in the placing and have warrants? Or bought on market without, seeing as VELA has never disclosed warrants in its financial statements, website or TR1s.
You can see why TSP tried to grab the £300k before investment was properly signed off. If that was not a red flag and yet they proceeded anyway. Probably time the BoD refreshed themselves with their own Investment Appraisal Policy that was posted here a few days back.
That's a bonkers read, imagine investing £300k in that shambles.
Oh, hang on....
CDT has lost half its value since it was in the 3’s.
What a DISASTER.
Looks like ( early and may be tempting fate) the CDT selling rush has abated a little for now. There can’t be many early holders left now and presumably sone new will come out about changed holdings eventually.

In fact the whole of the small caps should be bought and delisted as it’s conning all the private investors!
If someone makes a bid they’d need to go with the highest price in the past 12 months (that’s 0.03p at least).
Fairs fair.
Just need someone to make an offer.
Be careful what you wish for. You’d lose your instant access to whatever investment you’ve made. Any ultimate share out of funds would be after all deductions to a myriad of advisors, brokers, lawyers and the like whose fees would make the boards salary or fees seem like pennies. With the SP at a low that is unlikely to be sustainable ( I.e. it will go up in time) staying listed is the best way for people to get money back. If you want out, just sell. Then at least you’d have your cash now ( rather than in 18 months after n deductions). DYOR.
I’ve already requested shareholders get their money back as the BoD have proved to be so incompetent.
What can you do apart from see your investment value go down ???

May I ask what you said to them ?
Yes Jessie, numerous times.
It seems my comments fall on deaf ears!!
Joey, have you contacted the company direct to air your views
Hogbog, I care about the BoD wages. We have 3 directors all earning 60k (ish) a year to run the company. And while you will say that is relatively cheap, i would argue that is relatively high based on the following:
- Their performance, there is no argument their performance has been terrible. For this alone they should be relieved of their duties.
- The amount of work they actually do. We are an investment company who hasn't made an investment for over a year. The least they could do is keep the website up to date and release timely quarterly updates, both of which they do not do.
- they are selling investments at significant losses to pay themselves their wages thus decreasing shareholder value
Whilst some of what you write ( when in a rational mood) is fair enough, I’d suggest to you that pay is a red herring. No one cares about their pay/fees except you.
Should they buy shares.? Yes of course. Well overdue.

Last post: JoeyBloggs7, 17 Jun 2024 10:21
No buying interest here though.
In the current climate I’m seeing as a huge positive. A newspaper BU write up an a Dowgate investment in one week is unusually good news. As you say this is one of our top 3 investments and we should all enjoy the mornings good news as you never know what the afternoon will bring!
With CDT faltering we need the other investments to be bagging somehow!
It was higher, but it is a big VELA investment....currently valued at £590k and pushing into positive territory from the original buy in price(s). Up over £150k on year lows
This was trading at nearly twice the current SP.
Got a LONG way to go!!

Yup, CDT nosediving. VELA investments dwindling. Investment value soon to catch up with MCap, not a good week for VELA Investors who will have seen their holdings worth less than the start of the week. Only people who will be happy are the BoD who will continue to receive their salary despite overseeing one of the worst investment performances ever.
The fall at CDT is been very dramatic. Typical Vela investment.
Yeah, had a massive rise there at one stage,
Frankly I’d be happy to leave this in one piece if it ever gets back to 0.021p!!!
But didn’t it go quite a bit up at one stage ?

The interest is to try and understand what is happening to our single biggest investment. I have a lot of shares tied up here and it is important to me. It is interesting! To be anything other than interested in one’s investment would seem to be naive to me.
Interesting? Just about too head under $2 after reaching $2.92 on opening. I don't think I would use interesting as the word too describe the CDT share price.
High volume buying and selling at CDT seems to be keeping settled price in line with the open. The Russell announcement causing interest and movement. The latter just needs to become upward rather than neutral or worse. Interesting.
What is wrong with CDT. Out the blocks at $3 and then quickly falls back too where we started.
Yep, we can agree on that point for sure.
