If I had one, I'd have to consider whether the "headwinds" were something enough naive investors would ignore, and pile in.
Or if it were more likely that the issues facing EU producers are very real, presenting a nagging doubt.
Jury out.
@alfista
Time to close your short position?
mitigating some of the macroeconomic headwinds seen across the globe.
Doesn't anyone question what those macroeconomic headwinds might be?
Such unquestioning loyalty. Sweet.
Half year trading update exactly in line with expectations nothing to see here shorters jog on
Decent. All on track with revenue then

Anyone who needs conclusive evidence of where the company is heading. This is exactly what is needed to for the doubters to be put back in their place.
Two new posters, both using the term "Dear" as an opener! ??
Thing is Hawkboulder, if you're bearish about a sector, then you are. I don't see things soaring for their producers, I do see headwinds for them. I do wonder if production will be moved to other countries where energy is cheaper, but that's a very long term thing.
Sorry about it, but I don't see any quick return to a valuation that looked extremely rich to me.
Dear BlackBoulder
I'm a minor investor too.
But I'm not overly confident.
Every time I look at the share price I have to have a swig of whiskey, just to recover.
Im not saying you're a spokesperson for the company, but it just looked like a cut and paste job. I might be wrong.
Maybe you should apply for a role as press officer there, as their current RNSs are pretty poor. Looks like a primary school kid releases them.
What we need is positivity and hard hitting RNSs, to fight the likes of Alfista who think the world is about to end because of the energy crisis
You seem to be a bit obsessed with me, as if I was interfering in the desire to keep things uber positive on this chat board.
Never mind. If the situation is as you stated on your very first, ultra reassuring "statement" in support of the company, they why hasn't this explanation been issued by the company to the market.
We all have different criteria when judging the worth of investments, that's why there will always be differences of opinion. personally, a business based wholly on debt rings alarm bells, especially when a key person lives what can only be described as a lavish lifestyle.
The account given in the Iceberg report, which anyone can search for and read, is that the two acquisitions were, in fact, already owned by the company. Nothing you have written establishes anything different, so we'll have to continmue to disagree.
Finally, when you "appeared" on this chat board, you claimed that the shorters had better look out because a reversal was imminent. the quoted sp on that day was 477. Will you admit that you were highly irresponsible in encouraging buyers at that level?
Dear Alfista, your repeated calls for the company to re-explain the Ezi Floor and Hanover Flooring transactions are naive. I provided all the facts around these transactions on 16 September in the thread “Iceberg Nonsense”. These facts are all verifiable from publicly available information.
Victoria is an audited public company. The details of the transactions were outlined in the RNS statements and set out in detail in the Annual Reports. There is no requirement for the company to explain again what it has already explained multiple times. For the transactions to not be real, for them to be elaborate scams as Iceberg implied in its report, as you keep suggesting in your posts, would require the lawyers that worked on the transactions, the auditors, the Chairman, and the board of Victoria to be complicit in a £42m fraud. The directors would go to jail.
I have read the RNS statements and the Annual Reports, spoken to the company, and studied the Companies House website to confirm that the company’s explanation of the transactions are correct, as set out in my post of 16 September.
If you really are a genuinely concerned investor, and not just trying to propagate Iceberg’s nonsense for the benefit of the shorters, you should do the same.
Dear Hawkeye11, I can assure you, I write all my own posts from scratch. I am a long term (minor) investor in Victoria, I have not been engaged by Victoria to write these posts, I do not write for the company.
Ask the company when the energy crisis began then. Last winter, Europe had a ten day wind lull that destroyed the gas reserves, far exceeding projections. That's what happens when you rely on unreliable energy sources. Then, China started bidding for the L:NG that would normally have been bound for Europe and UK. After that, of course, Vladimir started getting bolshy. All of that is pure fact, there's much more but I don't want to make this in to an essay.
the VCP land of milk and honey preceded all this strife, and was in the days of massive consumer confidence. We'll all have to wait many a long day to see those conditions return IMHO
@alfista
No aggression here, simply stating facts. Ramper or no Ramper, buy or sell, your answer to everything is always the same.
You actually beleive the share price has crashed because of the energy crisis?
The SP went down from January....
Energy crisis IS the answer to everything. Modern industry and consumerism has been built on cheap, reliable and dispatchable energy. Anyone, selling anything that consumes gas, in Europe, is in a world of pain right now, mainly due to the green movements and their determination to ban conventional fuels. Can't fire a tile kiln on renewables, or make carpets, etc etc
I'm invested, and disappointed.
@alfista you're obviously more disappointed than me, because you've given up writing anything positive. Energy crisis is your response to everything.
Then they turn aggressive. Bingo, surefire ramper conduct.
Bore off - what do you expect me to do? Send u my name, address and shoe size?
All you seem to do is attack every poster whether they are for or against.
Again, I must ask the same question, are u even invested?
You keep bringing up his yacht like he hasn't worked for it. Read the history of VCP and you will see it was down to Mr Wilding that the share price ever reached the highs it did, and as soon as the shorters are burnt, it will be right back where it was!
Do you even know how much of his own money Mr Wilding has invested in the past few months? Well let me tell you it's a lot more than your 'last few pennies'.
When a load of newly arrived posters appear , all parising each other's work, it must be obvious to everyone what's being attempted.
#notsubtle
@sharedetect
Ofcourse I'm invested, but you said it yourself, was £12, now £4. I'm not going to be doing cartwheels at that?
Don't get me started on Executive Chairman Geoffrey Wildwolf. I'd bet my few remaining pennies he's just raving on his yacht.
@hawkeye
I think you are being very unfair, I agree with @blackboulder, there is nothing wrong with copy/pasting info that is positive! The share price was at 12 at the start of this year, now it is at 4. Mr Wilding is showing confidence by using his own money and company money to buy shares, this should fill everyone with confidence!
@hawkeye - Do you even have an interest in these shares or are you here simply to attack Mr Wilding!
@alfista
You're easily spooked.
Look at BlackBoulder, nothing seems to spook him/her. And plenty of facts being rolled out (even if it is cut and paste).
You can't deny the facts, and definitely can't deny that today's news is very good for the investors, and not so good for the shorters
@alfista
Its all doom and gloom for you. You have no response to the good news, just the same concerns repeated again and again. If this share starts rising, what's your short position at? When would you be forced to sell?
Looks like we've got a ramping relay race going on.
All too obvious, it should send the spooks down anyone's spine if they've got an ounce of nous IMHO
@sharedetect
I've seen the #vcpshortsqueeze
I get that the common folk can get behind this and give the shorters/hedge funds a really good whipping.
What I don't get is why you think Mr Wildwolf is so amazing. He can't even give an update on what I believe is just accusations.
Maybe you can find him on his, yacht and ask him to do something positive
