I spoke to Suzy by e mail last night. She was enquiring on my opinion on stopping the q&a as people keep on asking the same questions that have been answered in previous q&a’s.
Rhubarb, I think it was intimated that the 'cut price' buyout could have been initiated during the tenure of the old BoD during the multiple fund raises. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Phase I/II 201 data wasn't available to any prospective bidder then though.
Thing is I find it hard to be grumpy so I have a giggle once the office door shuts which most of the lads and a lass all know.
hahaha back to the grind stone.
Team
Ive re charged the battery’s mate it was a good brake thanks.
Back to the grumpy old boss face again ha.
I think that the chances of a buyout are low. Most potential approachers would think that the shareholders would bite their hand off if they offered 1.5-2X the current share price. I bet in the past, that Suzy has informally communicated that it would be unlikely that the LTHs would fall for that.
I'd encourage (for a laugh) anyone who wanted to do this (because they thought it would be the "cheap" route to get 201) to start accumulating shares, and try to get over 50%. They'd need 90% to push the rest out. But once they hit a mere 3%, they'd have to issue a TR-1. That would probably lead to a 400% SP increase within a day or two.
Morning RB. how was your holiday?
Then it’s down to the big shareholders to decide if they’ll agree too.
Morning all we can’t be that far off some good news now.
Thanks Andysel. I have been in Valirx for 8 years, so know the company inside and out (Hence not knowing how deals are completed) hahaha
@teamhanz
so far as i understand it, and i could be wrong, but if an offer for a product is made the BOD can make a decision themselves based on what they think is in the best interests of the business, but if an offer is made for the company they have to inform the shareholders and give their recommendation
And still no Q&A. Very strange. Even to not mention a delay or a new format via Twitter. Hopefully because they are putting final touches to a deal for 201. Also, with regards to a deal. If a Pharma puts in an offer, do the BoD have to put it to the share holders first or can they sign any kind of deal and then tell the share holders what they have accepted?
Would be nice to have an update on all fronts to be honest. Feels like ages since we have had any kind of progress reports.
Does any know the timeframe for the preclinical experimental data to be completed for BC201 and when exactly it started?
I am guessing it would take months rather than years to get the data for this so perhaps an update?
I think it has to be said, given the sentiment embodied in the OP musings which revolve around share price appreciation or lack thereof (understandable), is an acknowledgement that whilst it would be very nice to realise a great return on investment, I would be happy if Suzy and board made any reasonable deal that drew a line under this period, these drug candidates, gave them the financing and opportunity to progress future candidates, and moves any of the existing portfolio forward, toward a productive future helping people.
If they wipe their face and I make a small profit, I'll be happy. Not a popular point of view I'm sure, but the name of the game is survival, stay in the game, keep doing the work, developing new prospects. This group is long in the tooth, get any of them out of the door, bank some cash - move on.
Sam, you beat me to it.
I had written:
Not sure if I agree. Physiomics had just 1M cash at hand, earned 800,000 (2020) and made a net 60k loss (2020).
I don't believe for a second that they would commit more than 200k in costs to evaluate the candidates, any more exposes them to significant risk.
Costs, of course, are manpower, plus material, plus overheads.
@Sam... I find Suzy very approachable. So if you have any concerns then send her an email. I'm sure she will clarify it.
I agree, PYC cost would be around 1 million pound for the work on three drugs.
6% = £1 million
100% = £16.667 Million
So Val would need to get an upfront payment of £16.667 million in order for PYC to get £1 million.
Our current market cap is £12 million and if we get £16.667 million upfront then where does the share price go?
No more placing if we have 16.667 million in the bank.
Why don't you put that question to the Board for August's Q&A? you should get a response by December this year haha
@sam... Do you really think so?
But you are completely forgetting about our collaboration agreement with PYC. Why would they do FREE work for 3 of our drugs with no guarantee of any payments? I'm sure they must have looked at all the data and maybe run simulations before signing up to this new agreement. If we get peanuts then what will they get?
I'm really interested in this months Q&A.
I'm sure she has done the Q&A but wants to go through with Kevin on Monday morning before tweeting it.
It would be very interesting if we don't get Q&A by Wednesday or this week! But I don't think that will happen! We should get something very soon.
Annnnnnnnd still no Q&A. How odd?
I think it will be curtains for VAL if they don't sell or partner one of the candidates in the next few months.
Hero, Posting 9 months. YOU need to Do the research. Read what I wrote . "IF any Pharma was Interested". "COULD have been Bought out". Multiply the S Cap by 125/1 TWICE and see how many Shares that have being Issued over the years. Then Consolidated many times to raise funds. Has the present S Cap risen from approx 18ML to Approx 68ML In 18 months?. Where do You think that Valirx will receive Funds IF A Cash Deal Is not secured Shortly?. AIMO.
Probably not enough shares in free float to be able to take the company out 'cut price'. By the time they'd built up a big enough stake, the SP would be a lot higher.
Bit of a poorly researched statement that one. Try again.
Dracula aka A1
Why cut price? Why even IF they were running out of money would they need to sell at a cut price? If the product is so awful why are pyc working on it for nada?
You are honestly the most useless pos deramper I have read in years, come on the awful English and the spelling can’t be real, use the I phone it won’t let you spell that badly. I know it’s not your first language but come on.
ICE IMO. Long ago. Like many I thought IF any Pharma was Interested. Valirx could have been bought out for very little. The Change a the top saved Valirx from Admin. That left many options open at Cut Price to Any Pharma. Up to today has any Cash Deal been completed?. So Investors have to ask. Doe's Any Pharma think any of Valirx Compounds are worth persevering further with. EVEN after AFAICR Approx £20 Ml raised and Spent. It must be 18 months since change of management. What doe's Intrigue me IS when I heard of a 3 Year Plan... what will they Use for Cash?. AS always. Open to Correction on any of the above. AIMO
