Evening Nice to see a bit of blue but confident this will rise at least to 3.5-4p but it needs to move into profitability in 2017 to really drive increase imo. The next news are 2H Vammose sales and developments into AH. Still think the pet/livestock side is the big target is that is where all the BOD e perience/contacts lies and also does not have the seasonality of the head lice side and has much greate geographical and species diversity
Over the six month timescale mentioned by icepick,we might just see news flow encouraging some upward movement in the TYRU share price.Listed below are a few of the candidates which imo could stimulate investor interest in the stock. TyraTech has a valuable technology portfolio , some elements of which are not currently core to their current strategic direction. If ,as planned, they are able to release this value, maybe in an area relating to domestic pets, via a trade sale, then any funds released would allow TYRU to further exploit their positions of strength in the personal care sector and to progress the opportunities in animal health, which they see as the larger opportunity over the longer term.Any sale proceeds would also serve to strengthen the weakish balance sheet. Out Smart could be successfully relaunched.Their distributor, SmartPak,believes that there is a great future for the product and are eager to recommence selling the reformulation. News of a reversal in the slowdown in the overall market for head lice products in the US, seen over the past two to three months, would certainly garner market approval. Tyratech could additionally provide an positive update on the progress of early PureScience sales and/or the new market for Vamousse etc in France. TYRU Directors might continue to express their confidence via further share buying. I would welcome ANY upward movement in the SP that is not subsequently surrendered.
icepick - I have to pick you up on your last comment, 'recover quite sharply', 'over the next 6 months'??? I don't think that will be quite sharply if it takes 6 months. What price are you expecting in 6 months time? 4p, 6p, 10p?
Seller cleared - buyer on the books? This should recover quite sharply over the next 6 months. GLA
and even more significantly, Director James Hills bought 500000 at 2.5p on the same day.
The presence of the T929I and L932F mutations was confirmed by DNA sequencing in lice collected from children in south Florida that were resistant to the pediculicidal effects of permethrin and the leading permethrin-based head lice product, Nix. Malathion resistance was not observed in this study. The data also show that Ovide killed these same permethrin-resistant head lice approximately 10 times faster than permethrin or Nix.
Yes nice find Resistance to Pyrethroids such as Permethrin etc has been around for ages in animals where they have been commonly used in the past.As most pyrethroids synergic or otherwise are chemically relate so cross resistance likely to be a big issue.
Yeah, nice find pwak. Sell-off on Thursday well overdone, as evidenced by Friday's bounce and a great chance to average down and/or buy a few more. Still think there's more news to come on the animal pest front, which is where the real money is going to be.
pwak. In fact a very good article. Thanks for the find. "Experts claim a genetic mutation of head lice in the US means the pests are becoming resistant to ordinary chemical treatments GP Dr Paul Stillman explains: “Super lice are head lice that have become more resistant to ordinary chemical treatments." The article includes his assertion that, “Treatments like Vamousse are effective on unhatched eggs as well as lice and only need to be used once.” As far as I can see,Vamousse is the ONLY treatment mentioned ! http://www.mirror.co.uk/the-people/super-lice-itching-cause-problems-8859987
Mirror online this morning about super lice, with Vammousse getting a small mention !
Much better response today. Think bounce back more to do with being oversold than any specific news re.Zika. Just received my first new style investor e mail from TYRU- better apart from a day late- wish they would release RNSs on TYRU rather than TYR
Have Tyratech moved because of Zica virus., I hold a few of these because after living in France (South) the mosquitoes there Asian Tiger are related to the mosquito that causes Zika virus in Africa, Brazil, Miami. Both have zebra striped legs. Those horrid things would bite all day through clothes, they were not in Europe a few years ago. That was the reason I got a few Tyru shares. Previously it had been the old mosquitoes we could swat on the walls during the evening. These new ones were there all day in sunlight. They even hung round our dog.
Top of the leader board today. More tomorrow please! #NaturalBornWinners
2 to 2.75!
Huge trading volumes reported way after the market close today, with significant premiums being paid to acquire stock.Hopefully this will prove to be a precursor to something of a recovery in the share price.
We have developed a plant-based technology that is very safe, but also very efficacious. We have tested the technology scientifically and clinically and found it provides long-term protection. It provides up to 8 hours of protection against mosquitoes, with an active ingredient that is not a chemical pesticide. The mosquito is the most dangerous animal on the planet. Mosquitoes kill 700,000 people a year and there are 300 million people who have diseases transmitted by mosquitoes, so it's a major issue.
Based on the Company's existing cash ($2.1 million at June 30, 2016); its current operating plans; anticipated revenues from product sales and collaborative arrangements; and the ability to control costs; the Company's forecasts indicate that it will have sufficient cash resources for at least the next twelve months. Taken from RNS- think it may have referred to June 2015 in main copy but refers to June 2916 further down. If it is just slow head lice season then this is outside company control- we know Vamoose is a distress purchase hence distribution is key. They have that and mkt shares going up nicely and moving into animal health- bug profits and think this is oversold so bought more today
My thoughts exactly Luke and I have trebled my holding here today.
In their Broker Note today ,Allenby Capital stress the importance of the PS range ,stating that the market for these products may be substantially higher than for Vamousse, although lead times may prove longer. Allenby inform us that TYRU has now made it's first sales of the PureScience range and the first 3 products targeting poultry and swine markets are now being actively marketed across MWI's worldwide sales channels. My view is that today's exit,at basement levels,by a significant holder(s) is providing a window of opportunity to acquire a stake in Tyratech at a seemingly attractive price.
I wanted to see something more encouraging on the first sales on the animal welfare. I think Vamoouse is great but a single product is not going to make us rich here. I will hold until the next update. A major animal producer buying their product will be validation enough
You are correct of course vickythelad, YET, stock can be bought in quantity this morning at just 2.15 ! At such a low level TYRU could prove a rewarding medium term investment for new investors,as the company possesses a (currently overlooked)promising product pipeline.
I bought a few more when a dipped down to 3.5, thought that would be the bottom again. I was wrong, again.
Lack of head lice lol! Lack of sales more like! Mind you the fall ''may" be overdone .....we'll see
