This the Sleeper we've been waiting for !
And Up ?
Cup and Handle pattern now failing
Trinity Mirror is at the final stages of a cup and handle pattern, so will it complete and start to rise? I think yes, although today's price threatened to fall with a low of 103p earlier today, but closed at 108p to keep a successful move in tact.
Yes.
Do you think it will continue upwards on the back of the results? Thanks
Hi Matt, Had a look at this today. Looks a good time to buy in to this one now at such a low point and with latest broker target up at 210p. Just waiting for the dust to settle a bit before I take the plunge. Regards, SS
RNS out - great set of results. Increased dividend and share buyback. Currently 10% off of year low. Debt down by 40 odd million and large increase in profit. Take a look, Best, Matt
Previously they have said results inline with expectations.....but I can't find their "expectations" anywhere...... Anyone else watching this? Matt

The CEO is deluded. The board are inept and the remuneration of Fox and Vaghela is obscene. The business is in terminal decline and is a disaster waiting to happen.
If a football team fail, then normally the manger and back room staff are sacked. This is the same scenario here, after this short lived kamikaze debacle. I agree wholeheartedly with Synycom. Every blessing Rev Shep
Yep, they and several others got this wrong but it's the CEO who needs to go now. His decision making has become increasingly bizarre or overly optimistic.
Are the BoD of TNI asleep at the wheel? Will we read about it in their New Day publication which has the circulation numbers of their office staff? Or perhaps they like the fact their SP looks like a ski slope?
...should have mentioned at least started to pay divi again.
Before Christmas I thought they had started to get their act together. Now I am not so sure. The launching of a new paper does seem madness - who buys papers these days anyway, I don't. I only have a few thousand in here so prepared to wait it out.
I always thought that the board thought that digital was the way forward. Instead under the present leadership, they decided to buy a load of regional newspapers, presumably with the idea of making them digital. Against all of the odds they then launched a new newspaper. Surely this is utter madness at a time when newspapers are losing money and advertising revenues are down. I have never had much faith in Mr Fox, as in my opinion, he did not exactly set the world alight at HMV? Perhaps it is time for another boardroom shakeup as they appear to have lost the plot. Anyone of similar opinion? Every blessing Rev Shep
Any reaction out on the street to this? Selling or not?
A tutee of mine sent me a joke yesterday of eye catching headlines. Favourite was Republicans turned off by size of Obama's package. Reminded me that Fox's divis are never as good as they seem.
Yes thank goodness for that as some of the share tips were rubbish. New paper New Day hit the streets on Monday but with the move to digital - though it brings in slimmer advertising revenue - I am still wondering who on earth thinks that is worth funding but we'll see. Not sure the market have too much time for the chief executive here. Still we place our faith in this brave new world of digital. Even made a few bob on an aimer, 7digital a couple of weeks ago though I see it is half the price Fox paid for it years ago as at today's prices lol. Sold out here last year and just peeking. I think my bankers think there are better opportunities elsewhere at the mo but we'll see.
Positive results and much more upside to come. Great news in the divi increase.
Again big buys in top 5 today but lots of small sells. Topped up at 141 p as this is a steal
At the time of this post very more buys than sells in number and value, yet SP is down. Can anyone explain that to me. Might take up with LSE once full day close is revealed later.
Not a diect competitor but surely helpful to TNI that Independent are no londer publishing hard copy
Glad to say once again this share is going back up within its 260-180 band. Should break through 180 post results
