jules i say a month and i am out only because they said midsummer decision on sv. can we believe them why are we kept in the dark if they give up on sv this share will be worthless my stop loss will kick in at 1.75 hope i am wrong gla.
Yes, I very much agree - if they can start getting their chips included with other manufacturers and ship in volume in the future I think there could be a step up in revenues and who knows who they might form a JV with in the future. I hope for this reason the investor who is going to give it another month might consider a longer timescale - 6 months - though he does sound quite like he's had enough of the jam tomorrow from Toumaz. Having said that it is hugely frustrating waiting for some movement on the SV front - I cannot get my head around why these trials take such a long, long time. My fear here is mass adoption isn't happening. What would hopefully turn this around would be good published results from those who are currently trialling and a much wider roll out. News from Toumaz sometimes seems little and far between... GLA
Painful as it is, you might be worth hanging on for a while yet. DAB, connected audio, and our chromecast connections could, and should, really turn this around in the future. Add in the boards final decision on SV (Sell, JV, or even contract successes) and it should go ballistic. Sethhill's not going to be able to mumble his way through another year without anything to show.
Had a windfall today from Belgravium Technologies , now Touchstar.( wasn't expecting any ) Have been invested in this company for some years. Due to the windfall I decided that I will top up more in Toumaz.. Share price is very low and if I stand by my views I might as well put this money into Toumaz and wait and see if my view is rewarded. Been having to babysit all week with the wife so I don't have a lot of time for 'share gazing' but top up I will by next week. Hope your' next month' pays off and good news follows..
Breton OK thanks for your input but this must be the most frustrating share I have ever held .I'm giving it another month then I'm out at a big loss .got no more faith with the way this company is run .
I agree this share is below expectation for now but making statements without foundation is tricky when dealing with a 'listed' company. The Health research has been under review from last year . If it fails to attract takers Toumaz can sell off the best part of the development if any exists , become a partner with someone else or ...call it a day, admit there's better options out there and wind down. I expect revenues to rise after last years contract, so, if we are left with half a company at least its the best half. Know its frustrating but the whole market is sliding down and this is not the time to expect many shares to gain, but after the referendum at least we will all know where we are going....wont we?
When are we going to get any news on this piece of crap I'm getting tired of this now. Anyone
defrib to toumaz ward please!
I think if they can stick with their current strategy and slowly build traction with Sensium in the background then this company can build on and become an excellent business. The potential is obviously there - it's just how long it takes that is the question. If the Sensium product starts to gain momentum though I think we are on to a real winner. I notice from the Toumaz tweeted news today that Sensium has been shortlisted for an award for Best Emerging Technology by the patientsafetycongress.co.uk. I think the product is still ahead of the game - lets hope we get the thumbs up from the Hospitals trialling it and a positive decision from the working party who are looking at the best way to take the product forward. GLA
I think Google Cast is going to be BIG, VERY BIG. GLA
Great post LosingLess 100% agree. Hope Healthcare will be the sugar on top - it will be great to see some Hospitals and Helthcare institutions adopting the patch. I would love to be invested in something that has great potential to save lives. It would also be good to see it being used to reduce hospital stays and therefore save money as per the early pilots. For now will just have to wait and see. Good to have connected audio and Google Cast added to the list too. I think investment companies will start to take notice when we move into profit. GL
I do not think there is a wrong option tbh. It is just the uncertainty that unsettles investors. If they can maintain their target of being cash positive by mid year and DAB contiunues it popularity (some countries turning off am/fm transmitters) and the connected audio progresses then health care is either the sugar on top or removing a burden depending on which way they jump.
The weeks tick by and we are getting closer to a decision re the Healthcare part of the business. Lets hope they choose the right option and we can then move on from there. GLA
from drewster over at ADVFN: There were some positives: > they still stand by the 'cashflow positive' by mid 2016 > the Sensium review WILL BE completed within next 3 months > Richard Steeves was there as an investor, not board member > there was more humility and less arrogance (just my view) > US affordable health bill presents real opportunity in the states, trial in South Philadelphia about to start if they patch up 10, 000 patients, and detect only 50 deteriorations, that's a positive business case sepsis accounts for 50% of hospital deaths!!! ( still find that staggering) > US Trial about to start with very good support from clinicians and nursing staff > Lots of other trials are ongoing that we (I certainly) weren't aware of - another starts next week I did ask the board about starting the meeting later especially as my own plight yesterday highlighted the difficulties many PIs face getting into the City for 9am (I was not the last to arrive!!) Spoke with Anthony, Richard, and Chris T. Discussed QE, still progressing, but the cycle is long and intensive. they patch a few and prove concept, then they patch a sensible number (100 at QE was mentioned) and do full data gathering and analysis (this is where they are at some 10 months after starting) Chris mentioned that 50% of deaths in hospitals are Sepsis related - I must have missed the qualifying bit of this statement though as that sounds plain wrong (Dave ???) - might give a major short-term window of opportunity though, especially in US. A few of us went for coffee afterwards. "Hopeful" would sum up our collective feelings, no wild optimism, but no suicide notes either..
I agree I think they've done the right thing by cutting back on Sensium spending and having this review. I still find it hard to understand why the uptake is so slow and why they couldn't convert the pipeline into orders, given they've achieved all the regulatory requirements. Sounds to me reading between the lines that the difficult part is achieving sufficient revenue to cover development costs.
With the revenue from audio alone the sp should be higher. The profits are zilch due to the burden of healthcare. If it is not going to bring in revenue soon it needs to be cut loose. Imo.
I still think this company has great potential. The one line in the presentation that says all to me about the current situation though is :- Outcome of Healthcare review will determine future shape of the Group Until then I think it's a wait and see - possible buying opportunity if you want to take a risk. Was anyone at the AGM and do you have anything to report? GLA
Toumaz have never been excessive with RNS news flow but without it the sp appears to be drifting lower. The sooner they can get some positive news out re Sensium and the current trials or news from elsewhere re Sensium progress the better. GLA
Take a look at Frontier Silicon (@frontier_tmz): https://twitter.com/frontier_tmz?s=09
Could be me but the website - at least the landing page seems a bit stale now. I appreciate lots of the comments posted on twitter on their news link and it keeps some steady positive news flow. I just wonder how difficult it is for a company like Toumaz to keep the product stream moving. It's wonderful that what they make is incorporated in so many fantastic audio products(mass markets) and similarly they have potential with Sensium(another mass market) the frustrating thing is things seem to be moving so slow. It will be good if they could turn a corner in terms of cash flow and profit this year. One thing that has great potential but I've no idea what course it will take is the Internet of Things - this has been talked about for some time and I remember Patrick Hannon saying how they are willing to talk to all sorts of companies re potential joint ventures(witness Google Cast) and it would be good to hear of more of these initiatives that could result In possible mass market collaborations - just wished the progress and news flow was a bit more frequent. GLA
Isn't the main issue is that to be really useful for remote monitoring patch really needs to measure blood pressure? If it did I'd imagine hospitals or a competitor snapping it up.
Sorry it has worked out such a bad investment for you. I keep hoping we will turn the corner with the company in terms of the Sensium product. It sounds like they are going to announce the findings of whoever they have commissioned to look into this by mid year, so not too much longer to wait now. Little bit ironic that for other products they appear to be doing so well but for the health product which has been touted as saving the Hospitals and organisations who use it a lot of money especially these days when saving money in healthcare is such a big issue I would have expected a quicker uptake. It just appears the traction is slow and the organisations who adopting nee to do white papers present actual results etc - a few times I have heard the inventor of the patch Christofer Toumazou express his frustration at this. The only big positive I can see is two large organisations have been testing the patch for some time now, so I hope they are nearing a time when they can publish their results and other hospitals will start to adopt the patch and its associated technology. Maybe from the middle of this year things will start to turn around. GL
Really. It is just bouncing around in a trading range of 2-3p. Supported well. I see it this way - DAB is growing, not just in the UK but world wide. All decent dab radios use frontier silicon chips ... Monopoly Sensium health care is a drain on resources but has potential. This is under review by the company. If the potential (nhs contract) happens it is boom time, if not it gets cut and the company runs a more efficient model. The other value is non-invasive glucose monitoring. Diabetes is a huge issue, hence a massive market. If you do not believe in the company sell and move on. Plenty of other places to make cash. You can always come back in prior to any big news, which healthcare wise could be soon. Alternatively patience...
If they have a reliable way of doing glucose monitoring (non invasive) this will be huge. Just google diabetic growth rates and look at the numbers. Forget hospital only. Think smart watch, and think a huge amount of sales. DAB should take off soon too. They have chips in all the leading radios so most of the market share. Could turnout to be a very good investment.
I think i heard ages ago there was a version 2 being developed? I thought they'd dropped that to concentrate on the version 1 for the meantime. There's nothing really out there about a verison 2 I can see? they do have patents for glucose and other vitals though. https://trademarks.justia.com/860/69/sensiumvitals-86069213.html
