HI breton59 could this be what you are looking for in cyber protection ncc group .ticker ncc hope this helps.
What hi-fi have produced an interesting article on what Google Cast is and the products it is going to be incorporated in. Interestingly there are lots of products from Sony and Phillips and a number of other speakers too. Would be interesting to know what volume of products the hardware is being sold in. GLA
My last post should have read 2% in the second 5 years.
Hi Rollthediceagain, Very much agree with your post. I had so much hoped with all the interest and work done to get Sensium to where it was that Toumaz could have started to make progress on the sales of the patches and associated contracts. It seems as we have now sold the company the most we can hope for is a % royalty payment over 10 years 3% in the first 5 and 5% in the second. It will be so frustrating if the Dutch company now moves the product on and makes an awful lot of money - it will then seem like a wasted opportunity missed by Toumaz. The quality of board members that Toumaz has leaves me surprised they didn't take an opportunity to move things on. Anyway, what is done is done. My only concern now is will the remaining parts that now make up Toumaz be able to grow sufficiently to make it a company that can grow it's product range, revenue and hence the value of the company. I will continue to stay invested but it would be good to see what the future plans are for the direction of the company from the BOD. GLA
Thanks for the information, I will make a decision but will have to decide between Equatorial Palm Oil and Sirius. I'm sure you are right especially as the 'port' facilities are now in place. I had been looking for a 'cyber protection' firm. for over four months but most are privately owned, Sirius certainly look well placed for the future all their ducks in a row. Todays news from Toumaz is good in as much as at least the direction is now set. Health monitoring equipment is certainly a growth area but its fast become a crowded field so offloading the division looks a good move.Good luck in the future.
Agreed. The trouble with tech companies is that they are often technology driven not money driven. As for exciting, I disagree, DAB is going to have a revival as many geographic locations are turning off am/fm in coming years. Steady growth ...
Both relieved and disappointed at the same time. Relieved in that financially TMZ was being pulled down by Sensium, disappointed that this potential gold mine was not monetised. TMZ should now be a cash generative if not particularly exciting company.
Good news! Regardless of its potential sensium was not working. Dab and audio are doing well. Move on ...
Hi Andreaban, Many thanks for sharing the link. I've had a listen and I must admit I had to check the date against the posting of the clip as I'm sure this was the sort of thing that was being said about 2 years ago regarding Sensium. So frustrating! Just think of how much money it could have saved hospitals during that time if it had been adopted a couple of years ago. The positive points I took from the clip were It easies pressures that are caused from the medical staff monitoring the "old" way. It means a bit more time can be spent with patients who need it. Gives patients reassurance. Mobility for patients – less likely to develop complications when they can move around, recover more quickly go home and save the NHS because of this - just think of the beds it could free up!. Emergency care phase plus application for own home monitoring. In talks with 20 trusts. I must admit I hadn't quite grasped that Sensium were in talks with so many trusts - that sounds to me major but what does in talks mean - in talks to start deployment? In talks - we're interested? In talks organising a trial? Once this report is published and until we get an update all of this on my behalf is conjecture. However, when you hear there are benefits from the medical staff side, the patients side and the financing side it raises the question why on earth aren't you guys who are managing the NHS moving this along more quickly. I think the obvious answer is the NHS does move slowly I can only hope we are somewhat closer to making a breakthrough with them and that in 2 years time another clip isn't posted that says there is this amazing patch that can have substantial benefits re patient monitoring...... GLA
Breton I'm out here now don't watch Sirius minerals. Buy in now it's a win win .if you do you won't regret it .and I'll give you my bank details when you make a load a cash . Gla
Hi scribes, I contacted Toumaz last week and got a prompt reply. I asked a question about the report that was going to be issued re Sensium's future and was told it was not yet completed(not sure what still needs to be completed) and it will be at least a couple of weeks before something is announced. I also asked a question about an entry in the AGM presentation and apparently there other trials underway but they(Toumaz) are not allowed to disclose who with without the permission of the hospital(s). In the background radio and wireless speakers move on and their is Google Cast to come - so there are some positives. I think I'm possibly a little like you though - don't like the uncertainty of the waiting and would like the sp to get back on an upward trend. GLA
ARM had 42% rise today. If that were to happen to TMZ that would not help me one jot. I need 800% rise!! So come on Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham announce the first SV NHS deal! please
I agree research is worth the effort but I have failures which might make you smile. I once sold shares in Christie Group on a Friday for a small loss , on Monday the shares shot up 9p!. I got out of Fastjet at the same price I paid only to see the share price collapse even after a revalue and bought into Trafalgar New Homes at 3p and I'm still waiting for the share price to reach 1p. However I will hold on to Toumaz,Stilo, Aukett S****e,Inspired Energy, Tyratech, Toushstar of the small firms and plan to invest in Equatorial Palm Olive or Sirius materials...but not yet, going to wait and watch.
Pleased to hear that Breton59 - I think one big thing I take from your post is that research and seeking out good opportunities can still with a bit(sometimes a lot) of luck reap it's rewards. I hope we have some return to economic stability with news of a little more near term political stability - been a tumultuous couple of weeks. Good luck.
Luckily I 'swooped' on the banks at cheap rates, bought my first RBS at 22p ...a real risk at the time now £2.20p due to revalue , First Lloyds at 26p and even persuaded my son to buy some and Barclays between 1.62 and 2.95 so I'm lucky compared to many. Taylor Wimpey between 28p and 57p but I'm still down from year end about 33% on all my shares but that's life. Builders need some research, your right new homes are in demand but only last month the supply chain seemed unbalanced with some sites stopped for lack of bricks , yet two brick kilns being mothballed?, unit cost's rising due to lack of skilled workers so wage rates rising, so I think a real adjustment is taking place. Still, you could be a footballer on 150k a week and have all that worry on how to spend the money!!!!.As a Coventry City supporter I'm a long way short of overpaid footballers, don't even have a ground .
Had a quick check and they use 802.15.6 which is a medical standard, not really consumer. I am not sure what the details of the phy is and whether it could be made compatible with say 15.4 or ble. However the IP of the macros could be sold on if compatible (same process node or synthesizable) So even if sensium is wrapped up there is some valuable IP and some lower power radio guys that could be used to support design services activity. They did say they hope to break even this year and never mentioned sensium decision being a caveat.
Hi LosingLess, Not exactly sure what wireless standards they use but I'm pretty sure they've passed the European and USA Standards for the product. I too wish they could sell some of the IP into the Consumer wearable market but I'm not sure how much of a cross over there is in the 2 markets. A few thoughts I've had recently is because of the lack of findings from the 2 NHS and the other one they don't appear to want to name the decision to cut funding for further development of Sensium about 6 months ago was a wise one. Secondly before not too long we should get a good idea of how the company has performed in the first 6 months and after the end of the year how much Google cast has started to bring in - good market for large sales at Christmas time most likely. The last thing is that report due out shortly should soon be announced - re Sensium and how to proceed, so we will then know where we stand. GLA
Hi Breton59, Hope your luck changes and things start to turn around before not too long. Not sure what's happening with the banks - ironically probably a good time to invest in them but you've probably got a lot invested already so hope there is a recovery before not too long. In terms of builders I thought there were homes that needed building and often that industry has been the start of seeing economies pulling out of recession so I hope Building starts to pick up soon. It's very difficult with the general malaise and uncertainty - lets hope a new government can start to make some good decisions for the economy going forward. GLA
Maybe they should diversify and sell the IP into a consumer wearables market for the likes as fitbit or cloudtag, seems to be very much in demand. Anyone know what wireless standards sensium uses?
Look on the bright side, you could be in Banks and Builders like me. Its all sit tight and wait for the dust to settle.I'm sure the Health side will be resolved but its all about having to wait for other people . Normally you would have a 'what if' plan. Having confidence in the Sensium is fine but there is always someone on your bumper with some alternative. Without a major hospital giving the thumbs up any announcement would be premature. It is possible to have a 'gold plated' product, but if no one is willing to buy into it , its a great product but too expense or complicated. I know how many times I was involved in cutting cost to make a product viable, my ears are still ringing from the meetings .
Hi LosingLess, I sincerely hope so this waiting is now getting a bit tedious/boring. Let's hope they make the right decision to add value to the company and sp. GLA
News this week I would imagine, if not soon afterwards.
frustrating, yes, but i'm holding till news of sensium decision, and remember we have the chromecast launch too. Toumaz wouldn't of spent all the time and money on R&D for it not to happen. One would hope they wouldn't off anyway!
Equally very sorry you felt unable to hold on. I fully understand the frustration of 'jam tomorrow' but I'm sure revenues are growing. I'm heavily into Banks and Builders on the FTSE so its 'tin hats on' and hold on for me. I don't go to church but if you do...say one for me. Good luck in gold, I'm going for Equatorial Palm Olive....but not yet.
