Sorry for the delay. I Attended the AGM last Monday. A brief affair, all of 15-20 mins I’d say, as one would expect. The purpose of my visit was to meet the BoD in person, something I like to do with my significant (to me) investments. I was not disappointed with the reception as I had previously communicated by email with Peter Fitzwilliam (FD). I was greeted by Mr Fitzwilliam who made sure that anything I wanted to address, he was happy to help. In the formal meeting, the only item of note (other than the proposed resolutions) was a pi questions regarding the Remuneration Committee. It was pointed out by this pi that the RC does not refer matters to Shareholders and that this is now common practice even with AIM companies. The BoD felt that they were rewarding themselves fairly and were not taking advantage. It was noted and kept under review. With regard to current year trading, there was no comment offered (even informally) and therefore no advantage gained in that respect by attending. I was asked whether I entertained chat rooms – LSE alfista was mentioned by Peter (in a positive and friendly manner). So in a nutshell, I have nothing to offer from the AGM regarding the future of our investment, other than that they all seemed alive and well and smiling!  These are my take on the AGM and therefore I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the above. Post AGM comment on recent trading. It appears to me that a buyer wants your shares at 47.15p so that’s good news.
Out of the way for another year without drama. Look forward to news from attendees, then onwards to next update.
Not me unfortunately. Having been invested here as long as I have it would be nice to meet with the top bods, but work is the taskmaster as ever. Would be grateful for your observations afterwards though.
Hi anyone I am going to the agm - anyone here going? SB
The share being tipped caused a few more buys a while back, but this time looks like mostly a single buyer judging by the regularity and size of buys. Still overlooked by most though
Good stability and the year high, hopefully the dividend is raised and the debt is reducing, still a very undemanding PER.
String of 5k buys today giving the Ask a nice leg up. We are a quiet bunch, just a bit more activity here would have benefitted the sp quite a bit I reckon. On the other hand, the stability is really impressive. so we certainly don't need the herd arriving IMHO
Some very decent sized buying here of late. Someone shelled out just shy of £20k in one hit this morning. In times past, that would have shifted the Ask big style, hard to imagine there are that many shares in free float. Puzzling.
Quite a slanted article that one, more journalism than fact as far as I can see. No mention of the paying down of debt over recent years for example. Where I do agree though, is that emphasis on growing existing agencies could and should bring better rewards than acquisitions, since we have seen that acquired companies bring risk with them. We can hope that divis become progressive as a means of attracting more investors, but the growth potential in the sp is obvious to all but that narrow minded scribbler IMHO
What's your point? In answer to the comment about what they might do with their money - it's pay out dividends. :)
Congratulations to the group agencies for an outstanding performance at the awards this year. Such accolades can only serve to strengthen and enhance their images, helping secure further growth opportunities. Multiple win-wins !
New Singapore office good, start up costs may have a short term impact? Wish Poppy and her new team all success in establishing a presence in this dynamic growth area of the world.
Nice bit of upward movement today. Are we getting back to tick ups on modest buys again? There surely can not be many free float shares kicking around these days.
New high on the cards by the end of the week.
They keep raising the Bid, very small spread now. The Ask has to move soon or it eill be overtaken :-))
Few more in this year's ISA, maybe add some more in the new one. I anticipate increases in divis in the medium term will make a great return on today's sp, plus of course any capital appreciation, which could be substantial. Win win. IMHO
Seems to be typical of today's trading attitudes - cash in whatever! This is a price for very limited trading. Real value will return to reward the faithful. This is a buying opportunity in the weeks to come.
Profit before tax up, dividend up, debts paid down. Is it me? These results are strong, and, judging by the comment for the current year, we can look forward to better in future. Very surprised to see this market reaction.
Yep definitely plenty of run left in this stock. Add and tuck them away
Very encouraging day, they tried to get a few sells, but I doubt they will succeed, the sp would need to rise substantially for holders to see true value here IMHO
and a very good endorsement for the IC too! they recd AGY and TMMG recently and they seem to do well not just on the day of their recs but after too...they recd MACF today so will monitor if it has same effect. well done with TMMG here mate
Typo there, should read chunky buys of course. No suggestion of oriental interest intended:-)
Yes it was. Even better when I bought the bulk of mine, happy bunny now. I hesitate to speculate on those sort of bigger buys, I know others have mentioned over the years that this would be a bargain level for M&A activity. I am open minded about it, but seeing a big increase in trading activity, and some chinky buys, does tend to focus the mind a bit more. Been a great week, hope for more of the same next week. ATB
