I thought it was a fairly positive and reassuring update to be fair and I like the fact that they clearly set out the work program for the next 12-18 months. The only real problem with it was that there were lots of 'possibles' and 'hopes' and 'potentials', the kind of language that worries the market in times like these when peeps want certainties. It's also the kind of language that TG likes because he comes across as a very cautious fellow. So I always add 10-20% enthusiasm and positivity to his announcements lol. As I say I thought it was a decent enough update. No timelines had changed for the hope to announce commercial flow rates and PPA. It's hard to be patient when you've waited so long but sometimes that's all you can do. If we consolidate here that's fine, if we dip lower I'll probably add some more. TG's record speaks for itself and what he's trying to do here could eclipse what's gone before and make the patient investor very rich imho. PADYOR :)
yep i have remained quiet for the day in general as read the rns on aus first not much to say.
wish i would have something to compare these flows at current rate, so i dont think the market quite knows how to value it
Surprised their was no podcast today
That will come when they announce commercial flow rates I'd imagine
Thechuckers, when I read the RNS this morning the first thing I thought was, this wont make much change to the SP.
It obviously did initially but it drifted back...!
I honestly think that the market will only respond positively to some definite good news stories, commercial gas flows and PPA agreements are the only things that will get this moving.
Now I'm still confident this will come good but it does feel a little like Chinese drip torture at the moment...!
Good luck all...
i agree, especially in this market it is unlikely anything less than excellent will impact the sp positively, just gotta wait it out i guess, must say i was happy with the timetable they provided, given they can keep up
one thing surprised me is they seem very eager to get connected to the sapp
My1, nice post but on your point about the iffyness of the RNS, that is TG all over.
Imho, if he says something definite, you can put your mortgage on it but he has always given us the potential downsides , even if he did not expect them to happen.
I don't believe he wanted to publish yesterday's RNS - he said he planned to publish it when we had the gas flows needed - but the negative crap on these boards about him and the bod, pushed them into giving us a premature delivery. He was right to wait and should have stuck to his guns. But it was a positive RNS and neither he nor I expected the reaction it got from some quarters and the market.
I think we have thrown the baby out with the bath-water - and added more water to the equation.
My motorbike kitty nearly went in yesterday! I thought about emptying my bank account in expectation of the price doubling. I'd then recoup the cash and voila I'd have my new bike paid for by one day trade!
Thank X I only used £1k @ 5.35p
TG and co really have tried to look after us shareholders, but mice and men won't let him it seems.
Chuk, I noticed that too. Was it to make Botswana get their finger out? If it works, the dewatering will be faster!
Stating the obvious to those with a SOH, dykes in Holland? This has to be most humourless board I have encountered.
Maybe because of the mysteriously low sp? Is a puzzlement, I admit (from the King and I).
Brad
Like yourself I am getting hammered at SXX so you will know what I am talking about when I say you are starting to sound like Alan G.
BTS, mice and men scuppered that for you mate.
I filtered him many years ago for reasons that I cannot recall after all this time, so it went over my head.
I got my fingers burned last night. Got my 10 year old battery over 12v , but wanted to know what charge it held.
Found a web page that said you could do it with a multimeter! I have a 10mA connector on mine and it sounded like it includes a massive resistor. So you just put the probes on the terminals using the 10mA connection and you'll see the voltage drop under load! How much it drops shows how much or little charge is available. Simples!
Sugar, I dont know what my 10mA connector has behind it but I burned my finger on the tiny wires to the probes - they were still too hot 5 minutes after I disconnected! Fortunately they did not melt and still work but the plastic coatings are slighly different colours. Meter recorded 17.? or 17? which I guess was the amps, I didn't leave it one for long! Probably built myself a one bar electric fire?
