THG Detect celebrates multiple successes at prestigious national awards ceremony
Innovative anti-fraud technology developed by Manchester-based THG plc has won national industry recognition at the Retail Risk Fraud Awards 2021.
THG Detect, which is used by THG’s own brands and third-party THG Ingenuity clients, won Most Innovative Online Retail Risk Management Solution for the second year in a row.
THG also scooped awards for distinction within its in-house fraud team, winning Regional Profit Protection Manager of the Year and Retail Risk Director of the Year. In addition, THG Detect was Highly Commended in the Loss Prevention Online/Supply Chain Team of the Year category.
The proprietary fraud prevention solution was developed by THG in response to frustrations that the majority of fraud engines on the market do not meet the unique needs of global direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses. THG Detect, however, was built by retailers and ecommerce experts to power the growth of its own global operations and now delivers these same results for third-party clients.
The platform is powered by machine learning to identify fraud, enable merchants to operate in a safe environment, and deliver a seamless buying experience by allowing customers to transact with confidence. Since using THG Detect for its own brands, THG has seen a significant reduction in the five primary areas it uses for fraud platform monitoring.
The Retail Risk Fraud Awards recognise the most cutting-edge technology, alongside best-in-class teams and their commitment to delivering excellence in anti-fraud that makes a tangible difference to the businesses they serve.
John Gallemore, CEO of THG Ingenuity, commented: “This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates how advanced our technology is. Online fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated, so it’s vital that fraud prevention solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.
“THG Detect provides unmatched accuracy – not only protecting retailers’ bottom line but also their long-term reputation. These awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of the team, so we’re delighted to have been recognised by the industry again in this way.”

Sorry about that, the article was written in the 6th December, so assumed it was recent. Seems like it’s regurgitated news, my mistake…
Don't think this news is old actually as its also posted about on some of the employees linked in pages a few days ago. So presumably is different/new awards https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6872609796860719104/?commentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Acomment%3A(activity%3A6872551250399916033%2C6872609789164183552)
Record breaking Friday!
Great find Indy!! Great news there. She also left another post as below about singles day a little while ago. Absolutely golden info from 2 posts...
"On Friday THG Beauty joined together to celebrate our stellar performance through November including a record breaking Singles' Day 2021. We celebrated with drinks and beauty products for all including extra treats for our top performers who have gone above and beyond. Over the next two weeks we will continue to recognise those who provide an incredible contribution to THG Beauty as we build up to CYBER 2021 - big things are coming!"

Reposting the great quote from your find.
"BLACK FRIDAY 2021. What an amazing event celebrating another record breaking trading day with DJs, yoga, s’mores, bingo, mini golf, dermalogica facials and desk drops every hour… to name a few! This is the first of our four day CYBER period and we’re only just getting started…"

Indy - marvellous find.
This does look fully legit and if made official, this may well be the catalyst for a turnaround.
I'm back in at 175.2, albeit with a moderate position as the chart still looks bearish, i.e. it's a clear flat-bottom triangle so from a pure T.A. point of view, this could go down a fair bit before it jumps up again.
..just checked out Alice’s LinkedIn post again and looks like the words ‘record breaking’ have been taken out. I reckon that’s considered market sensitive info.
WOW! Yes, the post now shows as edited!!!! That's why I copied and pasted earlier but I never really thought her post would be noticed to this level.
Yup - she is a junior HR person so she clearly didn't realise (and nobody briefed her in all likelihood).
well cat is out the bag here folks, nice find
The Singles Day post is also edited. Bet her LinkedIn profile was being pinged like mad
i did notice a few large buy trades yesterday , this looks good even more now
I guess one of the employees of the bot machines who work on this thread would have messaged her to tell her to take it down...
Or giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was an employee of THG follows this thread.
looks like some very well respected posters have noticed and have started buying on twitter
Nice one Indy. Great to get some good news for a change. Funny edited it now someone has had a word with her…
I think it's VERY CO-INCIDENTAL that the Singles Day post was registering as 3 weeks old and the BF Day post over a week old, and this morning they're both edited within an hour of being highlighted on this thread lol
Does make you wonder. Too co-incidental. What would that suggest?
I'd say it suggests that someone not wanting this share to rise just yet follows this thread.
I wonder if this will force THG to make a statement earlier than expected...
This thing could moon rocket at any moment...
Diamond hands now all the way.
Mando
Someone didn't like that inside information had leaked ......and it "might" be because the powers that be are brewing up a stonker RNS that will cause some heavy pain to shorters and short play CFD holders
Investor relations probably have someone watching this ...and got the heads up that ..that info on trading shouldn't be in public domain ...maybe IR pick up links we post regarding the press etc
I feel for Alice. Probably had a bit of a telling off. She may be checking this thread now also to see what the fuss is about lol. Alice, if you're reading this, it's not your fault.
What's the bet there's a reminder email going to all THG staff this morning about not commenting at all on trading performance on social media
Looking at the SP is like looking at a very attractive female with horrendously ugly bloke - you just can't understand it - but what you should see is the amazing opportunity it represents!
Buy as much as you can - you might get lucky and catch another dip - but she'll still be good looking at 200p, 300p, 400p IMO
What UK retailers are smashing it right now? ECOM
What company leads beauty ECOM and Nutrition - THG
Which company also has their own ECOM platform....
I really think this is a Golden buy here - RNS is due and we all know it will be good - FTSE next year maybe NASDAQ - BUY THG.L and set very HIGH sell limits
