Is there a reason went you kept your broker's name a secret?
All "grown up" brokers will charge 10% wht. I have my ISA with Investec and they have no problem getting my wht at 10%. Unfortunately a lot of execution only brokers like AJ Bell and Hargreaves Lansdowne can't be bothered to do their jobs, so people with them get stiffed for the 20% rate. I have my SIPP with HL so I am actively switching the remaining TGA shares there into my Investec ISA (all them by next divi). There's a significant (4 figure) difference between the two tax rates for me. If only TGA would dual list on the London stock exchange the problem wouldn't arise, but I expect there are reasons why that can't happen.
Littleaston - Might I ask who your broker is please? That’s the correct WHT but many are being stiffed for 20% with no easy recourse…
Thanks
The dividend I got paid is 37.098p per share. The broker charged me 10% WHT. This has always been the case for all dividends paid so far.
Click on TGA Live RNS and open the 21st Aug titled dividend declaration (it does what is states)
The relevant paragraph for most of us that have to pay the WHT is:
Should dividend withholding tax be withheld at a rate of 20%, the net dividend amount due to shareholders is 32.98 pence per share (Pound sterling) - 41.22 pence gross dividend per share less 8.24 pence dividend withholding tax per share.
So 32.98p per share

Hi, I typed “Thungela dividend 2023” into Google. Answer is 41.22p per share on October 9th. Amazing what you can find out using the internet!
atb
How much was the dividend?
Oh, the Krusty Kurse, sorry. Maybe tomorrow...
792? Keep watching fromage, still 5 minutes to go and it's nearly there!
Lots or dividends being reinvested this week. Good.
Richards Bay coal, prices at $126, last time these levels was 3rd May, TGA was at 760, SP should be >= 760. Good.
Strikes not affecting Thungela. Good

Cheers and GL.
My average is 792 and I am not expecting it to regain that, but as it has given me the best return ever on dividends, I am happy where it is. Dividend received, and as it is probably that that is causing today's price spike, better hold off until later. "The yoyo always descends", as Confucious said.
Coal should go a run leading up to Xmas so plenty of investors be adding their dividend money in the coming days, my average is 790 so hopefully that will go very soon :)
Maybe you guys want to check the price of coal it is actually what we sell also worth checking price of energy and world events.
Strikes , etc
IG showing 2% shorts on a small number base so unlikely it’s that…. Given some of these swings I may add a trading pot
Nah, not shorters.
Everyone saw my comment saying looking positive and decided to take their money off the table . . .
Shorters?
Looking positive
No need for those diaries and tabs : everyone invested here should be conversant with the RNSs. The "dividend declaration" (the title is a bit of a giveaway on this one) clearly says Monday 9 October.
Quite liking the slow but steady improvement in SP over the past week or so.
Fairy1 - is the Financial Diary tab above not clear enough?
@Ash11,thanks.
ATB and GLA
F1, Dividend will be paid on 9th of October.
When will the above be paid?Divimax says 26th September, but I’ve not received mine.
This has recovered well post divi but there’s clearly some nerves about and a bit of trading going on, happy to let it run into the winter
