Callum
Define " near term " and don't say "a matter of weeks" 🤣🤣
Fair enough, let's hope that news and hopefully a substantial rerate comes soon. I would be happy with 0.2. Personally I think I have been extraordinary patient already. Nine years and counting.
Yes
But I'm confident at some stage in near term we will get news.
At the end of the day we know it's going through the process and at some stage it will sign off.
It's a question of patience
Callum. Surely there comes a point where you would hope for a return on your investment instead of endlessly topping up ? It's about time Roland delivered some shareholder value. The sp when he joined the company was 0.23 so he has a long way to go.
Still chill :)
Every month that passes comes closer to a reality of a placing / dilution. If that happens you'll be able to buy in a whole lot cheaper that todays price
Im chill
It takes as long as it takes
Every month that goes by enables me to top up a small bit more
Gla
Well so much for all the excitement when Roland joined this joint (excuse the street slang!); now people want him to walk the plank.
We deserve a live video presentation, inc Qs&As section from Roland, and maybe his team at a predetermined time and date, to explain in detail the BS that we are being smeared with. In fact I might as well invite him to my home (significantly less grand than his), so he can just smear that BS all over the windows, car, and actually well why not…..in my face too!!
Sorry I got a bit carried away then! :) lol …..but I’m pretty sure my investor peers in this place share a similar, less radical, frustrational approach.
GLA for the 100th time. Well we don’t go off time and dates in this place very accurately so it doesn’t really reflect how many good luck messages!! And take a deep breath….i can somehow generate a synthetic smile!!
I'm sure it's a joke.
Have to say I was shocked too JP... Can't imagine SYN is happy about that.
Roland has to stop with the 'matter of weeks' sh ite, as Briana should know better than to say 'very soon'
3 months in the dark over the approval is simply unacceptable by anyone standard. RNS needed urgently, you can't seriously believe SYN have had no feedback from the approvers in 3 months.
OMG...I agree with you sausage...surely JPP was joking
JPP, you emailed the approver direct in India and told them to get on with it????
GOI approval Q4 2024/Q1 2025 based on previously documented timelines, said it from the start, got called all sorts.
Yes just frustration Steven and the fact we will probably have more false starts as this is an easy way for traders to make a few quid.
Eyes on the prize
Has anything actually changed over the last few days because I can only see the same discussion around delays?
Is it just that frustration is growing because of Roland’s timescales, which I’m fully on board with sharing that frustration!!!
It’s becoming a bit of a nightmare when you are not being kept in the loop, and as someone pointed out, he and his fellow exec team will still be getting nicely remunerated, whilst the majority of us have real lives and real money invested to try and make a little extra.
She did include
"No gurantees"
Hopefully though we are within days not weeks.
I actually have a lot of sympathy for Briana as she can only say what is authorised by Roland and I get the impression she is a little frustrated. It is 2 weeks tomorrow that she said very soon.
Waste of time emailing Roland, you just get a standardised blanket response. I did however get an email from him a few days ago telling me to stop pestering the DGH in India.
I thought it may be easier to get info from the GOI than Roland... Clearly not
Whilst he can't win, he could fail a bit more graciously.
Why did he say a matter of weeks, when he knows what India is like in terms of administration and approval.
He should have said 3 months and if it came in early that was a bonus, but the market needs an update on what is going on and why the perceived delay based on Roland's own statement about 'a matter of weeks'. I know there is no delay as he hasn't stated a specific date, but there is a perceived delay based on what he has stated publicly in an interview.
Exactly Gordon. I wasn't actually joking about the possibility of JV approval at Christmas!
It's not as if it's a one off. It's been consistently for the three years of his tenure. Also not only things in the control of the GOI. Securing a jv was supposed to take 3 months. It took 16 months.
If it is out of his control, and I agree it largely is, he should make that clear rather than exuding misplaced confidence.
Of course he should give an estimated time line. The concern is that he seems to consistently seems incapable of being anywhere near correct.
If he had stuck to his original estimate of 3 to 6 months we would only now be saying that it might be as soon as the next few weeks. The very fact that he changed that to a matter of weeks raised people's expectations.
